Sim Vibe Installation

Greetings, I just joined these fourms. I have been working on my sim for over a year and have everything done but getting sim vibe working. For the life of me I can't get it working. I am about at my giving up point. For one I am not sure I even have it installed correctly. My problem is when ever I test the sound on the cards that it's plugged into, nothing happens. My set up is 7 shakers, 2 normal buttkickers, 2 aura Bass Shakers, 1 clark synthisis shaker, and 2 daytona mini shakers. The amps are two daytona amps, 2 normal buttkicker amps. The sound cards are xonar 7.1 sound cards, and a sound blaster 5.1. The set up is each shaker put into a channel sepreatly. The extensions mode is plugged into the black port on the soundblaster, and the front two of of chasis mode is wired through the second daytona amp and into the red port in the xonar and the 2 buttkickers are wired together and pugged into the black port on the xonar port. I know both sound cards work I have ran my sound system through them both. When I plugged the amps on and fire them up and run a test nothing happens, same thing in sim commander. I tried contacting simxperience for help and they told me they don't do hardware. I could use any help you are willing to offer. I'm about to give up.

So for starters was your setup working with just the audio?

Did you enable the sound cards in the playback devices (from the speaker icon in the taskbar), and have you set them to 5.1 output? also make sure these cards are selected in SimCommander menu.

Have you tested different ports on the sound cards, mine uses the green port which is for the front speakers I believe.

So when you test the sound cards, you are just playing audio correct? It sounds like you might not have enabled the cards. did you just install these sound cards?

Look through the SimXperience thread for more, warning its quite long.

Inside Sim Racing has a video on setup you should check too.

I spent about 3-4 days off and on messing with my setup to get it to work so don't give up. Also don't test with Assetto Corsa, it's not working with SimVibe now which would have been nice to know when I was setting mine up with it.

Good luck

I appreaite the reply, yes the normal sound going through it worked fine, and yes I installed all the drivers and they all work fine.I will have to fool around with the connection. I just tried the volume control options and I never heard the sound from moving the slider so the connection must be wrong. Thanks for the input
