Simlab WS-Pro + Heusinkveld handbrake?

I have the Simlab WS-Pro enroute to me, for a 10-12nm DD wheel, pedals with load cell brakes, TH8A h-pattern shifter, and a TBD handbrake (Heusinkveld or Aiologs). I have limited space right now so I unfortunately cannot do a full on rig like I’d ideally want, but here is what I'll be getting:

WS-Pro: https://sim-lab.eu/shop/product/plu003-ws-pro-wheel-stand-1118#attr=1075

Sidearm extension: https://sim-lab.eu/shop/product/sla107-ws-pro-wheelstand-side-mount-2215#attr=

Hoping this will work great for me for the coming few years!

Do you suspect the WS-Pro could handle the Heusinkveld handbrake ok? That handbrake has 12-15kg of resistance on the lighter spring. I love everything about this handbrake, only fear is it will just be too much leverage for use on a stand like this. Might I be better off with the Aiologs (also great, but a shorter throw distance, no load cell, etc.).

I'm also open to some DIY ideas to help out. For example, attaching some lead scuba weights to the base of the unit if it might benefit from a little more weight down low to help with the handbrake? I am just not sure what to expect for rigidity with the 40x40 8020 profile.

Unforunately, neither simlab or Heusinkveld is much help - they both basically said "well, we can't be 100% sure, it might move a little, don't know, maybe ok". So, who knows. It's an expensive proposition to simply buy the handbrake to find out.

Can anyone help?

I am also wondering if I could successfully customize the handbrake to work well with the stand. Looking at the software, it seems I could do the following:

  • Mechanical: Zero dead zone with max 11kg full stroke, via softest rubber
  • Software: Profile Sense+2 - maps 40% of input as 70% output, meaning 4kg max out with zero dead zone, uses 75% of full range of motion

Would this still feel quite progressive with a good throw? If not, any other recommendation for hardware+software setup to allow the handbrake to have good throw and range, good progressive feeling, but reduced so as to work better on a mid-weight stand like the WS-Pro? I am torn between this handbrake vs the Aiologs.
