Simple question about TH8A and Fanatec Base

Can you plug the TH8A directly into the Fanatec wheel base? Will it just mimic the older Fanatec shifter I’ve been using for way too many years?

Thanks, USB slots are in very short supply on my PC or I’d plug it in directly.

You cannot as even the plugs are different and firmware wouldn't understand it anyway. Get a PCI extension or an USB hub.

Thanks for the reply. Strange they don’t just map as they really are nothing more than a button box with the exact same buttons... but the TH8A supports analog too so I guess that’s where mechanics start to change.

But between the cables that come with the base and TH8A, they do connect fine. It’s as if TH expected they may be used for more bases.
