I am really considering jumping to PC simracing.
However, as you can see in my signature, I am quite invested in Sony ecosystem and don't want to leave that behind as I still play games with friends.

I wonder if anyone in here actually uses PSVR on PC for simracing and curious to know what the experience is like? especially if compared to regular occulus VR.
Smoothness, head tracking via PS camera, framerates/refreshrates, etc... bugs? etc...

I'm looking to minimizing my costs and space use to the max, so will keep using the TV for PS4/PC casual simracing and wanna race AC, PC2, RRE, RF2 or other sims in VR on PC using my PSVR.

Thanks.

I'm in the process of buying a pc and wondering this myself if a ps vr headset would work well for pc sim racing. I can buy a ps vr set for cheap from my co worker

It will mate but not sure if it's worth the hassle because it will never run as good as a standard PC VR headset.
I ended up selling it and getting a proper pc vr headset. You can get a occulus rift also cheap.

Don’t think the PSVR works well with sim racing vr but the Samsung Odyssey Plus is great and it’s often on sell for $300.
I will be pre ordering the Vive Index today since I will be using it for more than racing with that 120 refresh rate

 Vive Index? Don't mean Valve Index?

I'm actually very interested in the consumer version of the XTAL. This VR headset is probably going to be way too expensive though.

I figured as much. Might ask to borrow it to see how it is. As for another legit vr set I'm a ways off.

I tried Project Cars 2 with the PSVR on my PC just to see if VR could live up to the hype.
Long story short: A week later i had an Odyssey+ and a 1080Ti :)

So if you already have a PSVR, or can borrow one or get one on the cheap, it is worth it to check out VR for yourself. But if you get hooked the PSVR is (in my opinion) not good enough for regular PC use.

I know about that so that's why I told the OP that it is possible to make the PSVR work on PC, but not worth the hassle if he's serious about VR on PC.
Indeed, you beter get a PC VR headset.

Heck trying a psvr on a ps4 ended up in me having an odyssey+ and a GTX1080!
