This is looking like a possibly classic year in the 6 Nations, with France, England and Ireland all looking strong, and you can never write off Wales, even though they had a terrible November.

From the Irish point of view, the loss of Tommy Bowe may be a massive handicap to us but that backline of Gilroy, Kearney and Zebo looks dangerous.

I feel England's hopes rely on Tuilangi getting fit. France need some consistancy, you never know how they'll fare.

Any rugby fans here?

Oh man Ireland are so up for this today. O'Driscoll's hand control in the first try was incredible. And Zebo, that was a sublime touch to keep it under control for the set up of the second try after a great charge down.

Ireland are playing superb, brilliant mauling, scrums, and the running is so fast. O'Driscoll's pass and Zebo's flick were awesome.

And now a 20-point lead within half an hour.:D

I love the Six Nations! Of course England will flop, but as we beat NZ in the winter we at least showed some promise.

Wales did surprisingly well after that abysmal first half. But that was only the warm up, now comes the real show. :sly:

It turned into a great match after Irelands dominating first half. A very strong defence to hold off the impressive Welsh attack despite having two yellow cards during the half.

England should win easily against Scotland next.

Shocking defence from England to concede that try. Fortunately the penalties are being kicked consistently.

Italy 13 - 5 France.

It does look like France will have them if they sort out the handling errors though.

Meh! what a crap start by Wales, yes we came back but that was only because they had a player in the sin bin! and we cant give teams a twenty-odd point lead before we wake up!! :grumpy:

*What the? Which sport is this?*

Any rugby fans here?

*Ah, could've said so*

*Ah, could've said so*

Why are you posting if you don't know what sport it is? Surely someone who wants to actually talk about it would know what sport it is instead of posting for the sake of it.

Because it's a confusing thread title that wastes people's time. I was just trying to say that more tactfully.

You confused? My apologies, next time I make a thread, I'll let you know so you can google it in advance so you don't get confused.👍

And is time of the essence so much so that you're on the internet? Sorry for slowing you down.

:odd: It's only confusing because you didn't know what it is.

I only didn't know what it was because it was confusing. ;)

Try these a alternate thread titles:

"Stuff"
"A thread"
"A sport"
"What sport is this?"
"Akmuq's new thread"
"New thread"
"Discussion"
"Grouping of posts"
"Topic"
"Sports topic"

I'm going to start a thread called WCC 2013. Let's see who can figure out what the topic is. To help out, I'll start the thread off by talking about specific players in the sport and which teams are looking strong without mentioning the sport. That way I can be certain everyone knows that the WCC stands for....

Yes, because Six Nations is such a confusing acronym, I mean, it could easily be the Six Nations of Baseball, or Tennis.

I edited the title, I hope you've the time to notice it.👍

Six nations is the name of the tournament, what the hell else are you supposed to call it? :odd:
The NHL thread is called NHL Season 2012-2013. The NFL thread is called NFL: 2012 season. The NBA thread is called NBA: 2012-2013 season.

So yep you guessed it, the Six Nations thread is called Six Nations 2013.

I only didn't know what it was because it was confusing. ;)

It's rugby, the seventh most popular sport in the world! You should know that! Damn ignorant yanks, why would you ever trust a nation that calls football/rugby boots cleats!? Cleats are for cycling!

I'm mighty peeved right now.

It's fair criticism of me. I would not have complained about a Tour De France thread with no explanation of the particular usage of cleats, even though Tour De France has less viewership than Six Nations. Do carry on with your thread.

(No guesses on WCC?)

I played in a hockey tournament called the Six Nations hockey tournament before :sly:

(I grew up near a Native reserve called Six Nations).

With this being a thread about a rugby tournament, I think I will post about rugby, because the Six Nations is in fact a rugby tournament, where they play rugby, for those of you who are confused, rugby is a sport.

Here's the table as it stands:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/six-nations/table

Massive game for England this weekend, I do hope we can get the Grand Slam. We have the momentum and might be able to edge it over Ireland, but with O'Driscoll back and seemingly on form it could be difficult.

Of course for those of you who are confused Brian O'Driscoll is a rugby player.

;)

World Curling Championship, the men's version of which has surprising viewership.

Zzzzz... wh-what? Oh.

I've really lost interest in the Six Nations over the years, I only watch to see Ben Morgan (a friend) monster people now.

I much prefer Union, especially Bath beating Gloucester and laughing at Ben because he plays for the wrong team. Too many knocks on the head I think.
