sl 65 amg

Maybe when hybriding comes along, you can make a CL65

you can take bits of different cars (eg. suspension, body, engine etc) and put them into other cars.

I was thinking about putting an SL65 engine into a CL600...

I have a basic SL 65 setup that worked pretty well. I'll post it when I get home tonight.

I tuned my CL600 up to about 620 hp and threw some SL65 rims on it, and call it a CL65.

i've been fidiling with the suspension, and i came up with this, its a good set up.


Spring Rate:7.5/6.0
Brake balance:3/13
Ride height:86/86
Dampers (all round):6/6
Front/Rear balane: -50
TCS:10
Oversteer:0

This setup gets the car to oversteer like crazy but that is only if you put the oversteer setting on 0.

if i may, id like to make a suggestion on your brakes. for ur setting of 13, im guessing, though you said its a good setup, you might lose grip on your rear tires and skip. people use high rear brake biases to initiate drift. would you also explain why you put the 50 wieght balance in the rear? last thing, since you didnt give us the hp for the car, id expect it to be mid-high range. tcs 10 is rather high if i may say so myslef, probably a number of 3 or 4 if you have lots of hp will be all you need

If you don't mind how bad it looks on this car, add a wing and max the downforce front and rear. I got all the drivetrain, chassis, and lightening mods, including the Increase Rigidity stiffener. (Don't forget R2, R3, and R4 tires for the Mercedes one-make events. You'll win the Silver Arrow event easily with this setup, which gets you the CLK Touring Car.)

the reason for the ballast weight is that, as i said i am not much of a tuner to i was messing about and came up with a good setup. The other reason for the TCS so high is that the sl 65 can be tuned to 900+ bhp, mine has 908. It's so high to stop the wheels spinning.

TCS 5: 0-60 time: 5.4
TCS 10: 0-60 time: 4.9

that is the reason why, to get a better start.
