So after a long time of tossing around the idea of writing together, myself and @Skython have finally started collaborating together and the outcome so far as has been nothing short of spectacular. So much so that we are looking into purchasing very good recording equipment and someday are looking to make the trip to meet up with each other and finally get the ball rolling.

Right now all we have is Skype and Facebook for communication but we have been actively writing and sharing ideas for a bit now, hearing each other play and doing little meddlies here and there but now its gotten serious. So much so that we have material that the most loyal Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and other metal bands fans I think will drool over.

This material we are writing is not what a few teens would come up with in a garage band. We believe this material has serious potential to go big. We are talking everything from strong power ballads to very technical and complex songs, much in the same style of late Iron Maiden but with our own twist so that its not what you'd call rip off material. This is very much our own stuff and many hours have gone into about 2 songs. That's how technical they are but we aren't done there.

As of right now workin titles for them are as follows:

When The Rain Comes Down/Blind Eyes See the Same (title undecided)
Tomorrow Won't Come

Its not much so far but if your an avid metal fan keep updated on this. Right now we are unsure when you'll be able to hear out work but you won't be disappointed.

:D

Wish you the best. Many reputable groups record/recorded albums with members miles apart from each other. Hell, it's pretty much the norm these days.

Thanks, guys.

Though things might be a little slow in the making. I don't even have any recording gear at the moment. Though that will change very soon (like ,within the month or two). And after that I'll be making a few things by myself until Slash gets the equipment he needs. I have loads and loads of songs written so I may as well start recording until all is sorted out. My own stuff isn't all that dissimilar to what Slash is coming up with. I have no idea when anything will come out. I'd give it about 2 months or so. One so I can get the equipment, and another to get used to the software, and another week or two of recording and mixing.

Also, just so you all know.

Lead/backing vocals: Skython
Lead Guitars: Slash
Rhythm guitars: Slash, Skython
Bass: Jeffrey the computer
Percussion: Jeffrey the computer
Everything else: Someone else.

Right now I've been looking into friends of mine to see if they would be down with this so we don't have to use computer work. We may or may not release teasers here and there but nothing definitive at this time. The work we are putting in is rather straining, but enjoyable.

I know for a while me and @Tom where talking about doing this, but it never went anywhere so there is a potential chance he may still be interested.

Once I get some good recording gear I may book studio time just to polish up the guitar work on my end if I have the money, not sure what Skython here is going to do however. We will figure this out when it comes time. The main thing is we both want crystal clear production.

We have a few other riff ideas that might be of interest to metal fans as well so like said, stay tuned.

I hope that @Slash, @Skython and Jeffery the computer are destined for greatness!

On a side note, though my main genre is Alt. Rock and Indie, I'm alright with writing lyrics if you're ever stuck on that. Just offering. 👍

We're not likely to get stuck on lyrics, but if you have anything you want to put forward? Any outside input/involvement is as awesome as being given a free high powered supercar. So yeah, we'll take you up on that offer. :D

I'll second that. I did write a few songs when I was in college and had a lot on my mind. Have contemplated writing a couple more with everything thats happened lately.

Ressurecting this! Over the past year @Skython and I have been busy but we do have a ton of riffs and jams we've been working to put together. Recording has been rather slow, not much in the way of an official recording but mostly temporary files on our phones and what not of random spontaneous guitar riffs we think of.

Skython will be focusing on acoustic stuff, and vocals for the songs that have it. Due to the lack of our rough lyrical endevours most of the pieces will probably be instrumental. We are torn on the direction and style muscially to go so it's going to probably be a bit of everything...maybe a metal ballad to a straight up thrash song or two to something more progressive.

Due to our frankly horrible recording enviroments and setups this is probably going to sound like some underground 80s metal band recording something in their garage, and frankly we are ok with that. In fact we like that sound; there's something cool about that vintage metal sound and this is a good way of capturing it.

We are currently stuck on two things however. Neither of us have a bass to record with, and drums are lol. So we are looking for talented people that listen to this stuff and want to contribute. There's no official label or record company, this is simply us making music so we don't know if we are going to sell it or make it free for everyone so be prepared to spend time without a dime in return if we so choose (though if you become a member you will likely get a final say anyways). If you are interested and do have ability to record multi tracks for left and right channels (Audacity is a fine program for this and its free), please let us know ASAP!!!

Mostly instrumental? Lack of lyrical endeavors? Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis? I got loads of material sitting around the place. :P
