In the daily race, the one where all of the cars are the same, it seems as though I get completely out runned by the other cars. I mean seriously, my car is very slow. I usually drive with TCS at 2 and no other assists. Why are the other cars soooo much faster than me? I don’t get it. What else should I do? How should the car be set up regarding TCS and other assists?

TCS if you have it on 2 it only slow you down, when I do the one make daily races and other races I have it set on 0.

Certainly with any of the Nxxx class cars, you'll want to drive with TCS at 0 and if you happen to have stability management on, definitely turn that off as well. Maximizing corner speed and minimizing the braking required to make a corner safely is essential. You need to take the perfect lines and get on the power as early as possible in every corner. As you see, even though you are driving the exact same car as everyone else, you were slower, so those folks were able to carry more speed through the corners than you were. Some cars you can floor it like an on/off switch from the apex out, others you need to roll on the throttle more smoothly. If the car chirps or bogs down coming out of a corner, you just lost a ton of time.

Check if it's not a problem with the controller input. I had problems with Project Cars where the throttle would only reach 95% or so. But thanks to the HUD indicators it's easy to confirm or dismiss.

Psycho and Locked, thank you so much for the tips and advise.
Tekku, how do I confirm throttle % in GTS?

When racing check the HUD/telemetry you should see your inputs there if I'm right? So you can see brake/gas pedal usage for example. Check the bars go to 100!

The others are right about TC and ASM. With a slow car you need any help you can get and these 'aids' just slow you down. Trouble is that car today will spin out if you're not careful on the first slow uphill chicane. Smoothly does it!
