I'm loving the road cars, but find the lower powered cars like the GT86 and MX5 to be REALLY irksome given how long the shifts take, especially in lower gears...

I get that they shouldn't be DSG quick, but I've driven the ND MX5 and GT86 in real life and I shifted gears FAR faster than that lol.

Is it just me?

No, it's not just you. 1st to 2nd gear has something really strange going on in the road cars. There's no way it should take that long for the revs to drop and for the shift to be made.

Have you tried playing with the ratio's? It would affect performance but you can tweak things a little and it may change how you feel about those particular cars.

I was frustrated with this during the license tests. I use a G-29 with only paddle shifter. I found that if I used the clutch, the shifts were much quicker. I finished the tests and I have not done any further testing.
