@gkgamer
Please get a final livery rendered asap. You are confirmed for a grid spot, but if your livery has not been submitted to me and approved your confirmation will be invalid and you will default to the lowest confirmed reserve driver for Event #1.

@Phlano099
@JDMKING13
I cannot remember who the other two drivers that were planning to join you...I think it was @Fudman420 and @MrDonovan . Please be sure to formally announce your team. Please create or source a usuable decal for all team members. All team members should update their livery with the decal on both side and on the hood/front of car. Please send a profile pic over a white background so I can update the spotters guide. We are inside of 4 days to the start of the season.

Any other drivers that would like to form up a team, please see the team rules in the first post. Any questions or help needed on a decal, let me know. See you on track soon.

Raceday is 2 days and counting. The Bimmer is dialed in and ready. Special "home made" Maryland themed livery for the opener in Atlanta. Reported lap times are ridiculously close across the board. Qualifying placement will be crucial, and patience even more so. 1 position can take laps to execute, and one blown corner can can add 3-4 just to gain the ground lost. This could shape up to be among one of our best series to date. Roster is strong at 23 drivers signed, with 18 currently confirmed for this Friday. The formal driver briefing will be out by end of day tomorrow. Get those final tweeks made, get the laps in, and be ready for 9pm Friday.

As mentioned in the post above, if coordinating a team, the team must be formally announced in the thread with all liveries updated with the team logo/decal. Again, see "Team Rules" in the first post for further details/requirements.

@CodeRedR51
Be prepared to race Friday night. gkgamer has yet to submit his final livery draft for approval and has not been very active in the forum to reply to my post earlier in the week. He has until 5pm est tomorrow to get his livery submitted and approved to maintain his confirmed gridspot for Event #1. You would be the first to bump in if he does not meet the deadline.

Hoping to catch a few more laps between now and Friday, so I'm sure I'll catch some of you on track for practice.

I'm really looking forward to this one, this shapes up to be an amazing series. Full 16 car grid as well. I can't repeat it enough but thanks again for setting this up. The two SNAIL series keep me coming back to GT7 and my rig. See you all on track friday night !

CAT 5 Racing is still looking for one more member if anybody wants to join a team. I've managed to bring my times down to the 1:24's with some practice and tuning on the Supra. The other two members are hitting occasional 1:23's. I'm excited, can't wait to run with 16 clean drivers in a well organized series! Thank you for holding these events, Nova.

I'm still in reserve but would be down to join your team! I'm averaging in the mid 24's and hitting high 23's occasionally.

Be prepared to race. Turbo bumped in from reserve to cover Phlano. Gkgamer needs to get his livery finished and approved before 5pm est tomorrow. If he does not meet the deadline, he will forfiet the spot and default to being reserve and you will gain the open spot. I will confirm after 5pm est tomorrow.

Event #1 Drivers Meeting

Grid Business
Good evening to everyone who will be attending tomorrow night's event at Road Atlanta. We have a full grid of 16 drivers confirmed to race, with one driver, @THMP available as a reserve if needed.

ALL drivers should submit their spec sheets to my PSN: NOVA-0479 between the time that the room opens at 9pm est and the start of qualifying at 9:15pm est.
I'd ask all drivers to make sure they are running a wired connection in any way possible and to clear their network cache before entering the race room to avoid any issues. It seems the online lobbies run based on the slowest running system and/or internet speed in the room....basically throttles everyone down which appears to cause the instability we have experienced in the past. Let's try to head off any of these issues and optimize everything on our own ends that we can to help. For those with faster internet service speeds (over 200mbps+), it seems there are less issues with stability. For those on slower internet speeds or forced to run wirelessly, their network appears to be affected more when other in the household are online and pulling from the service speed. See this link to optimize your network priority for the gaming, and try to reduce internet usage (if possible) elsewhere in the house when racing.

Get them final practice laps in, and be ready for tomorrow night.

Reminder to all drivers:
All confirmed drivers are holding 1 of 16 grid spots, and we have 23 drivers on the PS5 roster, 17 for tomorrow night. Please notify me as soon as reasonably possible if you are unable to make the event. The latest acceptable notice without any recourse is 9:10pm est. Any drivers who are confirmed to attend, and fails to appear, will be placed on automatic Reserve for their next confirmed event.

Drivers Briefing
A few reminders for Road Atlanta:
1.) Be mindful in the opening laps. Be patient, and avoid contact/incident at all cost. Incidents that result in an issued caution, in the opening 2 laps, will come under automatic review for any possible infractions and penalized as necessary. Please be patient, brake earlier, and respect your opponent driver's space/line...they are not brakes or guard rails.
2.) Tight Sections on the S's and the chicane off the back straight: There is no written rule for these sections, but I'd ask all drivers to exercise caution and good judgement through these sections. Know when you have lost the position when approaching these section, and be considerate enough to back out to avoid the risk of incidents. This series will continue to induce some very close quarters racing, and one slow up, or mistake could result in yourself, both, or many drivers losing position....don't be that guy. If both drivers are dead on, side by side, proceed with caution, and hold your lines. Just be warned that attempting to go side by side in these sections cleanly will slow both of you down and almost guarantee a loss of position(s) from other attacking drivers. BE CAREFUL and AVOID CONTACT.
3.) See this Event Details and review for driver specs, race details, and allowable track boundaries for Road Atlanta.

Final Reminders:
-Please be sure that everyone is on a wired connection to their PS5 (in any way possible)
-Clear cache before entering the race room
Lets try to do the best we can to reduce the jitters within the lobby.
Any drivers that are noted or noticed to create continuous issues will be asked to retire for the event.

Here is the confirmation list:

Awesome, taking alook at the list. You said earlier that if @gkgamer dropped that I would take his active slot.

Is that not still the case? Just curious I may not be reading this right

Best of luck to everyone

I thought he had an entry in, but he did not. You are the lone Reserve. In the event anyone drops out before Qualifying, you would gain the entry. Please be ready.
