Sorry for my attitude last night. I try every time I race to have a positive attitude, but last night kept beating me down. I had no practice, which for me means disaster, and personally don't like HSR. It's not a fun track for me to race. It is actually the track I put my fiance on when she wants to play. Now I see why she doesn't really like to play to much.lol
Anyway, I will be prepared for Madrid so BRONCO, please try to prepare the tune a few days before so I can practice.

No problem, sometimes things get you down and it's hard to get out of the 'funk'. You'll be back next week! I do the same with my family and friends, lol, may have to rethink that. It's not my favourite track, but after racing it in the Sunday S.N.A.I.L. series and getting some pointers from the really fast people it's more fun than it was. Problem for me is there's too many bunnies out there :)

Mr.Meloncoly you are the tuner for YOUR team, and in a sense, manager, please reconsider what you are proposing. We all have a bad night sometimes, it's how you react to what happens, not what happens that matters. please don't quit.

Couldn't have said it better 👍

I've been there. Just ask Diabolic about my sandwich.

Next week is Laguna Seca, then Madrid (reverse). Laguna Seca is a real track. It does have run off areas. It is also not a track where the draft matters as much. It matters more than Trial Mountain, but less than HSR.

Draft won't be important at all at Laguna Seca.

I loved it. After the first 5 or 6 laps I was dialed in. Second race even more so. I think I had 2 incidents by myself where I made contact with a guard rail. One was next to diabolic after straight where I did a bunnyhop @ 155+! Good times...

Also...fastest laps. I think I had a 1:09.865 or .685 in race 1. Can't remember exactly.

I learned a lot from last night's experience - bit of learning curve in that first race for me. Racing SNAILS makes you smarter and quicker.👍

I seriously disliked HSR before last night and I was not looking forward to the race, but after running a lot of practice laps I felt a lot more comfortable. Once you find the right line, it gets easier. Not much easier though; that's a deceptively difficult track. Good job everyone! 👍

One thing I didn't figure out (maybe if I watched the replays I will, but I haven't done that yet) is that you had about a 5 second lead on the chasing pack and lost it all in a lap, dabney....I honestly thought you were going to hold them off for the win :)

Yeah, I got wide on a turn and hit the wall. Mopar used the draft like a boss and got me, towing esh with him. I think I could have caught esh, but I got bumped on the second to last lap.

esh
Did I bump you? Or was that the tussle with cheeb and spooble?

It wasn't you, and it wasn't my teammate (that time) if that explains anything. ;)

Ahh, ok then. I didn't think it was all tyre performance....unless you fitted F1 Pirellis at your pitstop and they fell off the cliff

Now you're just trying to make me cry :ouch:

Same spot though.

I cursed you a couple of times already. I'm over it now. We had a good showing regardless. 👍

No, I was good on tires, I could still go 126 through the last turn.

That was totally me! I checked my mirrors to see where cheeb was, looked back down and had missed my brake point. I smashed the brakes and pulled hard right to try to avoid you, but no luck. I was saying sorry before (and after) I hit you, but I'm not sure my mic was working.

Sorry again. :)

It's all good, seriously. That being said, keep your eyes open next week. ;)

My team, I must say that our HSR setup works well for Laguna Seca handling wise. I have messed with the gearing but haven't perfected it yet.

Okay, I've updated the second post, and I've put the best and gap times in the spreadsheet.

In looking at the replay to get the times, I noticed that in the big wreck in the second race, I literally took one for the team. Dabney was directly behind me, and hit me after I hit BDub, but because I had taken the brunt, the damage to him was less. That hole that I punched through was the hole that Kcheeb took.

Oh well.

I've upload the replays. I hope that link works. I'm going to try and get the protest reviewed.

So far, the only protest is against me from BeRandom. And it is a fair protest. I'm also going to ask for my contact with BDub to be reviewed. Both of these are from the first race, if anyone wants to look at them.

I need to go get lap numbers.

Bad luck struck the Blue team again :( I thought we would of been running pretty well with a lower Aero setup but i got caught up in the big crash that took out half the front runners.
