So how do i play online?

How do i play GT3 online...is it with a ps2 or comp(is gt3 even on comp)Do i need to buy the new internet device for ps2 and how do i join...where in menu is internet race.. i dont think their is one?

online play is just sending times via boards e-mail, pm, etc. gt4 might have true online play.

Hopefully it will, I just got the network adaptor last night and started palying online for the first time on the PS2. Besides having to set it up going through my server, it was relatively simple. Started playing frequency online, and now just anticipating GT4 to come out being and online game. For the time being, I gotta even wait for Auto Modellista to come out, but I bet it is going to be the same thing as when TXR Zero came out before GT3 - a great game to tie the time before the real deal comes out. They just better make GT4 an online game

GT4 will definitely be online. Expect to be able to download new cars too!

yeah, 87lotus12, all you need to get is the network adaptor and you can play a few select games right now. Unfortunately you can't play GT3. But soon enough GT4 will be out.

Online racing opens a whole new can of worms to think about. I have spent a lot of time racing NFS IV PU online and it is a blast, but it changes the entire aspect of the game. For instance due to lag, its really imposible to have realistic head to head racing, thus NFS allows you to turn off "collision" to avoid lag created bumping. Hopefully GT4 folks will learn from other products out there, online gaming is becoming the staple for the PC gamers, lets hope the PS2 developers can jump onto the learning curve a little higher!
