So this just happened... bug or...?

I was just done saving a livery and suddenly this happened:

Hopefully just a random glitch or a bug that others have seen before?

When I exited the livery editor, and came back to see if that fixed it, it didn’t show anything, just a black screen with a purple blob of some kind at the top of the screen and when exiting again it showed the car briefly before exiting to the main menu screen.

I don't know how you've done it, but I think you've uncovered how PD applies the livery decals to the car. That looks most like the positioning used to create the resultant texture map for the car livery. The purple 'blob' could've been an alpha masking colour, used to take away the background colour from the texture map.

Seeing as we have had other 'features' mysteriously unlocked before (e.g. the car ticket system), this again could be down to a faulty file save that has somehow enabled this viewport on your screen. Has it returned to normal now?

I had the same thing happen to me not too long ago....

And I am sure I saw one other post somewhere in here from another member who has had it happen a while back too.

I don’t know either.. after saving the livery, when returning to the normal screen, instead of the rotating car you normally see, this showed up. I haven’t yet checked if the game still does it after I exited it, I’ll check this evening.. I hope it fixed itself and nothing got corrupted or something, I’d hate to lose progress or liveries or whatever....

Im sure you didnt intend it to be a 'humble-brag' of sorts, but that livery is pretty damn sweet! I will be keeping an eye out for it if you upload it for public use.

Hehe I didn’t, it just was what I was working on when the game crapped itself It wasn’t intended for public release, but it could be with some changes.

It really is. I don't have GT Sport, but I saved the image so I can maybe recreate it on some other game.

Don't worry, I would probably never really share it, but I always save the name of the author (and relevant links) on saved files' properties just in case, so if I did, I would credit.
