Sobig Virus

What experiences have you had with this recent version of the Sobig? I get e-mailed with it at least 10 times a day now, but I haven't gotten the actual virus. And yesterday a few of the 10 e-mails used to support the virus were shut down by their ISP's so this virus should be on it's way out. It was never as powerful as expected anyway.

I've never had any experience with it. I've never had any experience with a virus except for the time one ****ed my old Vaio laptop up.

I've only ever had one virus. It basically made it so I couldn't use any programs that use internet explorer to run (including explorer itself). It was annoying, I ended up having to reformat my hard-drive (luckily, Roxio eazy cd maker was working, so I was able to back most of my stuff up)

Touch wood, none of my machines have ever been infected with any virus. I think that virus protection is a pretty simple game really. Especially when the virus relies on a vulnerability that I patched two months ago.

The company I work for isn't quite so good though. My machine, which I look after, was the only one in our office not to get hit by MSBlast.

I don't have a virus scanner or anything I haven't been infected with a virus to my knowledge. Only spyware and it wasn't my fault.

You're lucky then. The only time I got hit with a virus was when I didn't have any antivirus software.

I got an e-mail form Norton saying they detected it and deleted it. Must've been before I checked my e-mail. :\

I haven't gotten it yet as I rarely get email. It helps that I'm running a firewall also.
