Some hidden cars are'nt hidden!

If you have got the PAL version of GT2 you can actually get both Vauxhall and Opel. Here is how...

If you select English on the language selection screen, you will be able to get the Vauxhalls, but not the Opels. It's no big deal, since they are the same, apart from the badges. However, if you want Opels, then here is the trick. When you start up the game, dont select English, but select one of the other langauges below. It does not matter which one. Now when you go on GT mode, and select North City, there will be an Opel showroom over to the right of the screen, and a blank gap where the Vauxhall showroom should be. If you usally select a language apart from English on the language selection screen, but you want Vauxhalls, then all you have to do is select English. Then instead of Opel, you will get Vauxhall instead. More simple than eating a banana!

With this trick, you can get 101,2% game completion too...
Yep, thats another advantage. Thing is if you have brought an Opel, then you go back onto the English on the language selection screen, the Opel showroom will not be there but you will have it in you garage. Then the problem is, is that there is nowhere to tune your car, even though the Vauxhalls are essentaily the same. Same goes if you were to do the same thing with a Vauxhall!

Maybe, "Hm, why... [this is the answer to my problems!]"

Now I'M confused!

On topic: That is curious, though. Wasn't there previously such a discussion in another thread? I seem to recall it...

Yeah, there was over in the GT3 forum...like a week ago someone was asking about changing specs in the game and the discussion drifted over to PAL versions, and how you can change the language and get past 100% because Opel becomes Vauxhall...

I have just had a thought. If this is the case with the Vauxhall/Opel in the PAL version, it is likely it might be the same with the Honda/Acura in the NSTC version.

Edit: Opps, I serial posted. I will try and find a way to merge them. Or can only moderators do that?

It isn't; Honda and Acura both appear in the NTSC version, and there is only one language (only sold in the U.S., why bother?) on it.

You tune your Vauxhall in the Vauxhall Garage and enter the Vauxhall manufactures race when in English language. Switch language to German, then you buy your Opel, tune the car and enter the manufacture's race in Opel using the German language menus.
Save at end to Memory card while in German. Restart PS1, start in English and you will have extra %%.
