I did some experimentation with the GT League events, and found out the handicapped car credit & experience bonus is calculated when you compare the N-series of your car to the N-series that appears to be recommended in the event; the maximum HP (if enforced) is not taken into account. So, in theory, in the FF Challenge where N400 is listed and the maximum HP is ~345 (which is the lowest power you can have and still be within N400, FWIW), if you entered with a car that had 245HP (thus, being in N200), you should get a bonus of 40%, as I think you get a bonus of 20% for each class you're under, with nothing being added or subtracted if you had an N-series car above this amount. I think the maximum bonus is 150%, as well, so there may not be much reason to go too low in some events. Also, weight is also not factored at all, so reduce weight all you want.

But, if it does mean anything, I entered an N300-class X-Bow (granted, with around 344HP, but you get the idea) in the Premium Sports Lounge race at Blue Moon Bay, and with my setup of minimized weight and an auto-set gearing that allowed for a 186MPH top speed, I was able to get 2nd despite being so underpowered!

There's this other weird thing. The Honda 2&4 Concept is not permitted in the MR Challenge nor the Premium Sports Lounge, despite being listed as being MR and being 100k credits, just like the X-Bow. I initially thought it was because it was a Gr.X car, but the Gr.X Pace Cars are permitted in the FR Challenge, too. It's a bit strange, but w/e. Maybe it's a bug, or PD simply forgot to let it be eligible.

Finally, if you were aiming towards the "King of the Ovals" trophy, the PSL race at BMB does total to 30 miles (15 laps and the track is two miles long), so that'd be over 1/25th by itself, haha. But the trophy isn't really bugged, is it? Should I just try to get that trophy in Sport Mode/Lobbies?

This has been beat to death already in the forums here, sorry. You can easily win that Blue Moon Bay oval race in the premium sports lounge with the X-Bow tuned to N300. I have beat both the Veyron and LaFerrari and got the underpowered car bonus and the clean race bonus, the LaFerrari being the tougher one to beat, its really fast. To beat the Veyron is pretty straight forward, the LaFerrari you really need to utilize the draft and get in his way too otherwise he will pass you at the end of every straight. You will get $375K with both bonuses. I have been doing this race every day before turning the game off to build up my bank account. You should be able to run 47 second lap times even by yourself. With a little drafting help I ran a 47.1 but its tough to get drafting help and not get impeded by the cars you pass, there is a green Aston that will shoot up to the last turn wall then aim directly down to the apex at pretty slow speed, watch out for that one. You will probably have your best luck passing cars on the high side at entrance but then crossing over to low side on exit. The AI cars always go for the apex at entry and wall on exit, if you are at either place you will get hit and lose clean race bonus.

That's his thread, and we told him all the things he "found out" in this one...

By golly you are correct, I didn't even notice, thank you. And I dont think thats the only one or 6 other threads that detail this, I looked for one titled"grinding for credits" and didn't see it but I know they are out there.

I know, but now I've done some in-game testing to thoroughly confirm as well. I wasn't entirely sure given the wording of some of the replies, so I did some testing.
