I just got my memorycard data corrupted cause I dropped it.. I need someone to tell me good settings for my Mazda Miata X5. It says it can go 308 mph, but it can only go up to 141.6 when I take it out to the test track..

You're trying to get 308 mph from a MIATA? Is it a hybrid? And then you're only able to make 41.6 mph? Sounds like something is severely wrong with your Playstation, man!

Yes, try to make more sense please. Who says your MX5 could go 308mph?

And please don't bump your own posts. And try to be a bit more patient in waiting for an answer. You only gave us 16 minutes to respond.

It's because idigo812 wanted to make sure his post got read and wouldn't get pushed all the way towards the bottom of the page. Considering how busy the GT forums have been lately, this is certainly understandable

*sarcasm*

WOW, wish my Miata's even SAID it could go 308MPH! Hey guys, maybe he meant to say horsepower???

AGREED DAAN, I had to wait almost a month before recieving stock setting for my f094/s. By then I was done with the series, but I was still HELLA happy someone could help me out.

Sounds like his gears got screwed up, every car in the game can do over 100MPH stock.

Or maybe he is using manual transmission, and is forgetting to shift it or switch it to automatic. What gear was you able to do 41.6MPH in? If it's first, then you have manual transmission on, go to options and turn it off if you don't want to shift yourself.

Maybe he meant "km/h" not mph??? I mean...I don't think it's possible for a Miata to even do 308 kmh!

Beg to differ!

I saw a Mazda MX5 with around 350bhp doing nearly 240mph when I was flying Pink Pig Airlines last week! :P

AT the risk of being serious in a thread where everyone is clowning:
After you do whatever it is you do to get the power you are claiming, go to the tranny settings and perform the "tranny trick" (If you don't know use the "search" function) as a starting point and fine tune your transmission from there.

Yeah, but there's no way he's gonna get 308 mph from a Miata! Not without hybriding it or something! :indiff:

Where is the creator of this thread anyways? Man I hate when people ask questions and then don't respond to our answers. :grumpy: What does a corrupted memory card have anything to do with getting a Miata to go 308 mph???:mad: How are we supposed to be able to help if he doesn't come back and fill in the blanks here? what...ever.....

He also bumped to get to the top!
But I thought I'd give him the best answer to get as much speed as possible out of the old girl:tup:

Gil, you're a nice guy! And 240mph is very impressive, do you know what the setting and horsepower might have been???
Not really, just too lazy to work up a monster Miata of my own.
Also, strangely curious to see what he can actually get.

I imagine this is possible in GT3 with a hybrid.
I have an insanely fast PT Cruiser and a Peugeot 206 on a couple of my back-up cards.

I dunno, a GT4 hybrid MX5 with the 787 engine, good tyres and the right turbo for over 1000hp should whip the little sucker through 300mph pretty easy. Suchayo probably has three or four knocking around.

*EDIT* Duh, I should read the bit which says GT3, shouldn't I.

Well he can make a Miata with an Escudo engine, and use a GT3 garage edit to make it have 3500HP or more, with the Alto Works Limited turbo.

I do remember running a non-hybrid MX-5 over 200mph - though not much over 200mph - in GT3.

You need to alter the gearbox settings. It sounds exactly like you're bouncing off the limiter in top gear.

I mean horsepower, I had 308hp, and I was only going 141.6mph

Buy a full-custom transmission. Your Miata should have 5 or 6 gears; plenty of room, but you'll need to make them taller (by making the "Auto" setting higher and/or making the final drive lower).

In any event, you'll not get much higher than 200 mph tops, as Famine says, and that'll take a bit of patience & tuning. I'm not sure I'd want to go much faster in a flimsy convertible, anyways! :scared:

Areodynamically it's the equivalent of a brick!

Wow.. this post was.. interesting.
And yeah, as everyone says, do the Auto Setting thing on the transmission so it has alot of room to get more acceleration. :)
