well, given the bog standard wheels and ride height, I suggest an attack of the 'turbo' badge and some glue.

well I thought the car was electric. Thats not even possible with a electric right?

Okay

1 - You're thinking of the Prius - they look similar, but the Echo is petrol powered (it's the sedan version of the Vitz).

2 - The Prius is hyrbid powered - meaning it has two engines, one petrol and one electric (long story). As such, it would be possible to turbocharge a Prius - although I think the packaging would be a nightmare.

And it wouldn't do a whole lot anyway.

About this car, I just have to say that a) these people are from Connecticut, so they're not normal to begin with and b) their brakelights are different than the stock ones.

The 'turbo' thing's stolen from a Porsche 911, no?

Yeah, what the hell was I thinking?

It doesn't even look close to the 911 badge. I can almost put my finger on what it really is, but alas, I cannot.

i'm pretty sure it's off an old Toyota Celica...

it's definitively not a Mazda sticker, after inspection

You guys are all wrong, not a Mazda badge, nor a 911 badge.

It's off of a Saab Turbo, like a 900, I have the exact badge hanging on my bed room door.

And you call yourselfs car people, sheesh.

Here's the best pic I could find of the logo...

Here it is on my door if anyone cares.

I rest my case. :)

I'd really like to see what an engine would look like with a turbo in it on that car. Would it even fit?

I realize you could turbo it now but I want to know would a turbo charger even fit under the hood of that car?

yes. just get a small turbo, and a custom made manifold, and it'll fit. the Echo is the same exact car as the Vitz (only we get a coupe and sedan version) and there are turbo kits for the Vitz. even better, the MK2 MR2 turbo engine fits in there. that's 200+hp in a thing that small, it must fly!

My dad used to have an old SAAB 900 Turbo Convertible and I could have told you where it was from but Mazkid beat me to it.

I saw an Echo at a car show with a highly modded Celica GTS engine. and considering the Echo weighs 700lbs less than the already frighteningly light Celica, then I'll bet its a screamer!

PS The Celica GTS weighs 2,500lbs exactly, and the Echo is a shade over 1,800lbs.

I would love to have that as my car considering it would spank alot of rice rockets, especially if the engine has any real power like upwards of 300! With a turbo it would be a synch!
