Oh yes Sony are still flogging the PS2 horse and you can stay fashionably outdated with this new PS2 bundle to celebrate 10 years of the console.

You get Toy Story 3 - The Game which unlike the current gen versions is a totally new dev'd game specifically for the PS2 release.

Its kind of a missed opportunity as they could have done some special commemorative artwork on the console or done a new limited edition colour. I'm sure Japan will have its own special unit to celebrate.

If they release a special 10th anniversary PS2 I'd probably buy it!

I have to say I probably would too.

It is rather ridiculous (in a good way of course) that they're still selling PS2s after 10 years! The PS2 is a truly magnificent console. I remember the so called "fanboy wars" between Xbox and PS2 fanboys back in its golden years. The Xbox guys would be like "The only reason the PS2 outsells the Xbox is because it came out a year earlier and people have to buy replacements for their bricked consoles". To think the PS2 became the best selling gaming console of all time...

I've already bought two PS2's, including my the GT3 bundle sometime in 2001.

Most recently the PS2 has been used as a DVD player in the bedroom and I haven't used it to play a game in over a year. Needless to say, there won't be another PS2 purchase, regardless of bundle or special edition. Ten years for a console is still mighty damn impressive, though. 👍

I have 2 fat PS2's both very early models still working flawlessly. I would say that the PS3 by about the same point in time is doing slightly worse than the PS2 was but there wasn't as much competition without Nintendo being a major player.

The Xbox always felt slightly cobbled together and rushed. It only really outdid the PS2 in graphics and xbox live but other than that it really didn't offer much at all. I remember all the fanboy arguments people would have!

I have never owned a slim PS2 so I'm hoping there is a design which takes my fancy.

If they didn't re-release the first two GOW games as well as re-release Shadow of the Colossus and ICO all in HD, I might actually go get this bundle. Thing is, I'd be getting it to play Shadow of the Colossus, ICO, and San Andreas... the last one my PC might be able to handle. Maybe I'll go check now...

Yep. My Xbox died. Then I looked at my PS1, SNES, NES, N64, etc... and realized they all still worked. Decided not to ever buy a MS console again at that moment, then the 360 came out and RROD became an acronym all gamers got to know. And I lol'd.

My PS2 slim still works. Several years and fate knows how many 24 hour enduros and it's still running.

Sweetest part is... I got it for free off a magazine. :D
