Spa 1h best tune?

Nissan GT-R GT500 '08 with hard tires and tires for heavy rain. Just a little adjustment is needed to go down to 800 PP. You don't need to save fuel because before you run out of gas you need to change tires because of the rain.

I only run in this race with Gr.3 cars as I feel anything over that will be just 1h of funless steamrolling. Unless I were only looking for credits, then it's all game.

I wouldn't bother much with setup other than setting a tad stiffer anti roll bars to make it quicker through the snaky sections like Les Combes-Malmedy (T5-T7) and the Bus Stop chicane at the end. I've been running with 7-7 there but 7-6 would also work well if you feel you're losing the rear too easily mid corner.

Do not recommend stiffening up the springs too much. Some kerbs in Spa will disrupt your ride in the dry already, when it rains it's practically a death sentence. If I'm not mistaken mine are set somewhere between 3.80-3.95 favoring the end I feel struggling the most - i.e. the front if I understeer too much on the low speed corners or the rear if I feel I'm too unstable when coming off of a trail braking section.

I like that one too but prefer the Honda concept GT500. The downforce makes spa like a rollercoaster. The two litre turbo versions are better on fuel too. I’ve managed a load of these races on dry hard tyres the whole way. Just slight showers on certain areas of the track. Pressed for no change off tyres and no refuelling A few times too🤦‍♂️

The new Subaru makes it easy. I also tuned the XJR-9 ‘88. Both lapped everyone very easily on easy or professional with a fuel map 1 and TCS 1 (racing hards for both cars).

Could you share your full settings on the Subaru? TIA.

I can get 2 laps on every car using my tune for the Porsche 962 C which I've posted at the link below.

Just use the mclaren f1 gtr 97. Have heavy wet tyres ready for about lap 11 and you good to go. Also any Le Mans car drives it easy. Hard and heavy wet tyres
Are wets needed for this race, or are intermediates fine (along with rh's).

Read in a few posts that wets aren't really needed so far in this game.

I used intermediate tires and I managed to win several times doing this race with the Porsche 962C, heavy wet tires don't last as long as intermediate tires so I avoid using them unless 100% necessary / required.

Since it's 1h and not by laps, it depends on whether you want to win or test yourself.

Gr.3 cars can win. This race is comparable to Human Comedy #7. I think it rains at the 43 min mark, and it's a damn downpour. As soon as you see the clouds, head into the pits, because you lose a lot of time there and, by the time you exit, the track is wet already.

I don't know if the weather always changes but, when I did the race, there was heavy rain for a while, then the track began to dry. I pitted for RMs, which I thought was a mistake, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise when it started raining again, as everyone headed into the pits and I switched to Inters. Then I just stayed on the road until the end.

I think that, when the rain stops, the AI will stay a long time on the track with their Inters, expecting more rain, but they'll be slow since there's a very clear drying line you can benefit from if you're on slicks.

Personally I found the track undrivable without Wets. Inters can work if you're really careful and know the places with less water, but they're risky.

Well, with inters you should be able to won it, mainly because of how the AI cars mess the strategy and tire choices.
But, for my experience, there is a lap or two where there is so much water on track that you will be aquaplaning left and right on straight line, not the best experience.

I do this easy with most of Gr.3 cars - stock. RM - IM - RH tires and short shifting.

If you want to make it more challenging, you can start with RH - IM - RH tires

A ton of good answers above, but I have found the new C8 Corvette to be very fun, if not OP. Even with fuel set to its most conservative, you are still several seconds faster than the leaders.
