Hello and welcome to this one-off endurance race on the Legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, which plays host to many events such as the Belgian Grand Prix, Spa 6 Hours and the Spa 24 Hours in the Blancpain Endurance Series

The Cars

The Nissan GT-R R35 TC, making up the top class, boasting 650 BHP, 4WD and enough torque to power a cruise-liner, and weighing 1215KG, this is an amazingly fast car.

The Honda CR-Z Touring Car, only 200BHP, but it weighs 910KG which makes for a brilliant car in the turns, grips like nothing else and will have some brilliantly close racing.

The Track:
RW-Spa-Francorchamps-1920x1200.jpg

One of the most famous tracks in the world, this 7 kilometer Monster from Belgium always throws up a good race, and with the weather unpredictable, who knows who will win here?

Time and Date:
This will take place on Saturday 12th May.
9PM CET/8PM BST/7PM GMT/3PM EDT/12PM PST
Please notify me if I've messed up on a time-zone.👍

Settings:
Tuning: Prohibited
Tyres: Racing Hard
Aids: All off apart from ABS
Distance: 35 laps
Slipstream: Weak
Tyre/Fuel Depletion: On
Damage: Light
Grass/Wet Track Grip: Real
Track settings: (For Qualifying and Race) 0%/0%/10

Qualifying Procedure:
At 10 to the hour, the track will be reset and all GT-R drivers will be sent to track to qualify, they get a single lap to qualify, once the GT-R have all gone through Eau Rouge on their flying lap, CR-Z drivers are allowed on the track, GT-R drivers mustn't take a second lap and return to the pits after their lap. Once the CR-Z drivers have completed their laps, the race will be started.

Race Start Procedure:
The Race will be a rolling start, the pole-sitting GT-R will set the pace at around 50-75% race speed, once out of the bus-stop chicane, everyone must slow down to 60MPH and go double file, the race will start on the straight between La Source hairpin and Eau Rouge, the pole-sitter decides when to go once everyone is on that straight, but no overtaking before the line under the Total sign.(will post picture at a later time)

Rules and Racing etiquette:
We will be running with the ORL
I'm not too fussed about track bounderies, apart from Eau Rouge.
R35TC.jpg

That's how much is allowed to be cut, I understand it's a long race and the GT-R has heavy tire wear however so it's probable that the inside gets used a little more then it should, but try keep it at a minimum.

Multi-Class Racing:
GT-R drivers: You're car is about 25 seconds a lap faster, so you will have a huge advantage in the straights, if you come up to a CR-Z in a turn, just be patient to overtake him, it's a wide track with a lot of straights, so you shouldn't be long stuck behind him.

CR-Z drivers: When a GT-R is approaching you, just be predictable, stick to your lines and try hold off overtaking when you're being lapped as the GT-R will be bottled up behind you.

Yup, both DLC.:D Need your number.(Call me Maybe)

Edit:

*Looks through thread*

Me in.

Also, want me to host?
I'd say my connection would be up to it, but yeah you can host it, if it doesn't work for some reason I can do it, we'll get the room up at around 7, and do a 1-lap race as that seems to be the problem race for messed up grids.

Edit: Also need you're color, racing number and car you're racing.👍

Why it say 12th of march?

We are in may you know

Anyway GTR number 1 please standard black.

What does the no tuning restrict? I have never been in a room with that setup so is it upgrades or no setup at all?

I would do this if it was an hour or two earlier but unfortunately the Sprint Cup room opens at 9ish. Good luck mate 👍

I may have a go in this but ill test the cars first.

Edit: @Haitch its restricts everything you have to stock DF, Gears, Suspension ect and have no parts added.

But the GTR is already race modded so can I change setup or not?

This will be done before 9:30 and the actual race ain't till 10 in that series, if you're interested.
GTR #54 for me 👍

Nope, just oil change, engine rebuild and car wash.

Anyway, I mentioned in the OP that there is approximately a 25 second gap with the cars, but I may have had the power limiter on the GT-R when doing the lap, so it could be more, I did a 2:17 with the Nissan at 550 BHP, 100 less then it should have.

Thing is, I like the get in the room early doors and put some laps down before qualifying, so I can't really make it.

@OP: it sais 12th of march, do you mean May?

Also, this is pretty cool 👍

Lol, it's fine, I edited my post, I'm in! 12 PST should work great

Added, I'm slightly unsure about the PST time, you're 3 hours behind East Coast right? As that's what I have here.👍

Also, if everyone signs up in a GT-R I'll switch to one as well, not running all by myself.:D

Ok, yeah Eastern is 3 hrs ahead

Lol

No, you can limit power if you want though.:D

Ha ha ha.

BTW are we doing a formation lap?

Just had 2 laps.

2.15 on cold tyres + a mistake.

Amkuq dont worry I may join ya in the CR-Zs but ill just have a test of both before deciding ;).

Haitch the only part you can tune is the brake balance but it can help quite a bit :).

Yup, formation lap, it's in the OP and we start on the straight into Eau Rouge. And with the Nissan I got a 2:17, could have done 2:16 with 550BHP, which will be a lot faster with full power and a more serious go at it.

CR-Z is brilliant fun to drive and the racing is bound to be close.:D

And Yes, brake balance can make a big difference, important for Nissan drivers to conserve tyres especially, they could be in for a 4 or 5 stop race here.
Iv'e never driven the car so its test, test, test this week
Don't worry, it's pretty much point and it will go there, especially on these grippy tyres, may wanna test in the rain as well, as it's pretty much assured due to the weather settings.
Need some more peoplez 1st :(
We got quite a few people already today.:D
