Here is my Nissan 240sx. I bought it off an ex co-worker for $1200. It is my project drift car which I just started on this week. I have lots of plans with her but need to know more please ask! đź‘Ť Here are some pics for right now:

Stage 2: Repaint Exterior

Coming Soon....

Looks like you found one of the few that...hasn't already become a "project drift car."

Nice car to drift with. Like step 2, that light blue is horrid!

Yea Im going with a quick White paint

Get a heat gun for sound deadening and make sure you primer everything.

Sound deadening is coming off pretty easy. I've heard we could use Dry ice to remove it easier too. But Right now I am just sanding down the blue and using rattle can on it, so im not looking forward to it lasting forever so I dont care about priming. Plus Im pretty sure i will end up hitting other cars along with cones and such.

Yeah, over here you can actually leave the car in winter weather to hammer off the sound deadening lol. I meant primer the interior and engine bay to stop potential rust.
Be prepared to pay extra for the PS13 bumper so replacements won't be cheap (if its comparable to over here).
And CHECK THE ARCHES, even if you've do a quick check the chances are theres loads of brittle rust behind the second fold of the arches, considering its a '90.

Seeing how this is Arizona and we get rain twice a year, and no snow. I dont think there will be chances of me getting lots of rust. I have checked the under neath and not much rust there to what I can see. Its only the hatch that has due to a leak. But I can get the Silvia front end conversion here for about $800-1000 dollars depending on where is available.

What engine setup do you plan on running since it will be a drift whore?

Well I have finally decided Im going VH45DE or K which I doubt I can find a VK for cheap. I have a buddy who just won his Formula D license and said most major sponsors these days wont even look at you unless you have a v8 because of evenness. So thats what Im going to start doing.

Do you already drift or will you be learning on this?
If you're just learning, get a different motor as the v8 will be blown to bits before you get anywhere near a competitive level.
If you're already skilled enough, I would likely pick the VH.

Jesus

Yes yes I know

I have been drifting for a few years. Just haven't in over a year. Need some practice back.

Agreed.

You have never drifted professionally on a track.

Perfect Balance
I guess you missed the sleepy eye headlights, fart can exhaust and bright blue paint?

Don't, it's gonna look bad. There are like 3 Sileightys on Earth that look good. Go Type X if anything.

Fart can was there when I bought it. I did the sleepy eyes. And the paint is horrid! I love the sileighty can't step away from it.

there are a couple of ways u could go (depending on budget) for me i already have a 5.0L but it's occupied u mainly need a small block V8 a good general v8 would be an old chevy 350 (only down side is u'll probably have to do the beearings and the main and to handle the high rpms ur better off going with a rocker roller and some upgraded springs but u may not have to touch the cam) with u can find ANYWHERE or just go fuel injected with 5.oL or a 4.6L and just rip one out of a mustang witch everyone usually does or i'd just use the lil mustang (but that's just me) and seeing as how u already got the car ur probably not going to change ur mind

oh and BTW i hate all americans  (just kidding)because "they don't get rust" GRRRR i wish canada didn't get dumped on with snow and have salt thrown at their cars

oh god not the sound deadening lol, i did that with my 240 before and was a pain in the ass!! i used a hairblower to melt it and scraped it off, but if i could do it again, id just buy the dry ice and break it apart

Stay with the Pop-Up Headlights, they are endangered in cars nowadays
They haven't made pop-ups since '04. Reason being is that apparently the government says they do too much damage to the human body when a person is struck with a vehicle with pop-ups. :dunce:
