This series is being cancelled because I don't have time in my day to host the events. Anybody can use the regs I made below for their own series.

Any gen 1 or 2 miata would be allowed as long as they followed these specs:

~ Oil change

~ Body rigidity upgrade

~ Spring rate: Front- 12.50 Rear- 5.80

~ Anti-roll bars: Front- 7 Rear- 2

~ Any other suspension tune is allowed

~ Sport exhaust

~ Sport catalytic converter

~ Stage 1 weight reduction

~ Racing brakes (level 5 front and rear)

~ Comfort soft tires

~ Intake tuning (1,597cc engines only)

~ '89 and '91 J-Limited Miatas can install manifold upgrade

~ '98 gen 2 Miatas must have a 90% Power limiter

~ Gen 2 RS (NB) models must have 82% Power limiter

~ Gen 2 RS (NB,J) models must have 79% Power limiter

~ Gen 2 Miatas must weigh 1,088kg (Ballast allowed)

~ Gen 1 Miatas with 1,597cc engines must weigh 1,057kg (Ballast allowed)

~ Gen 1 Miatas with 1,839cc engines must weigh 1,065kg (Ballast allowed)

~ All other tunes are not allowed

After tuning, the car should have a performance point rating of between 372-376

I'd be interested in a spec Miata club but I know that within the NAs & NBs there are differences in performance levels that are surprising for cars with the same specs. For example the NA special package is faster than any other NA at the same pp level, and the 1800cc NBs from '04 will have a tendency to dominate the NB field, NBs being generally faster than NAs at the same PP level.
Also, I don't think I'd be able to appreciate a very understeery spring and ARB setup like the one you are proposing for the club. If you want everyone to run the same suspensions, I think it would be better to keep the stock sus. Same for the brake balance, I think that, like the suspension, it is very personal and depends on the driver's style. Anyways , I could accommodate myself of such regs if there are many people supporting the specs. cheers

The reason why the suspension is like that and the gen 2 miatas are allowed is because this series is trying to recreate the SCCA regs for Spec Miata, with a few adjustments here and there to even out the competition, I have bought every Miata available and tuned them all to where these regs are now, so unless my driving style suddenly changes, I doubt it, all the Miatas should have an even chance of winning, only difference being driver skill.
