Feh, they usually collect dust in my garage. I use the trusty Unisia Jecs GT-R here and there to see how my skills have changed over the years, but just for a race or two. It was my bread-and-butter for many races, but it was time for something new (like 550 other cars).
I could never understand why anyone whould buy the Pennzoil, but some swear it's the best GT-R in the game. No difference.
The Calsonic GT-R took me over 20 tries to win...I kept getting GT-Ones (normally nobody would complain about that!) when I was begging to get the final GT-R GT...it was just no big surprise.
The Arta looks mean, but since I was a Unisia fan, I got the same impression Dirk Diggler got from Rock Landers (anyone ever seen Boogie Nights?)...this guy's trying to replace me! It's a nice car, better brakes than the Unisia...but too much like the UJ.
The Zexel and Kure look good, not much more of a challenge, anyway. But after racing the Zexel on the rally tracks (with a GS, of course), it was quite the dirt racer.
The Mine's are a big disappointment; they are neat when you just start out winning races, but otherwise overweight, underpowered, and only permit slight tuning. And what's with the lousy torque figures? 618hp should be enough, but the car is just not hard-tuned GT-R material. Besides, I don't like that silly "Mine's" logo on my car.
Which brings us to the Nismo R33 LM. I suppose it brings back GT1 memories to some, but it takes a lot of tuning and patience. When it's all said and done, you've spent 800,000 credits for the Japanese equivalent of a fully-tuned Corvette. That said, it's been my project car lately...a good match for the AI.
