what i meant was the arcade car, or a prchased car. I think you mean the arcade car, but I want everyone else to know so I wont be competing with broken in cars.

I just ran the supra at tokyo r246. I havent driven the supra in almost a year I bet. It isnt very pleasing to drive, but it is quick. It doesnt understeer much, and has tons of power. One thing I have noticed with the car is that it seems more realistic than other cars, in the way that it understeers quite a bit with no weight over the front axle, but if you are to slighty touch the brakes the front tires regain a ton of grip.

I tried out tokyo because I was doing testing there yesterday with the other class A cars and I thought that that is where this competition was being held. I got a best time of 1:53.6xx after about an hour trying. I had one lap where I was 8 tenths faster after sector 2, but I bonked the wall on the right corner after right after the esses.

I also find driving the supra with the DS2 very annoying. It is difficult to put the car where you want it. I constantly find myself bonking the walls requiring me to start a lap all over again. I think I may FINALLY bring the momo down stairs and master GT with it. I had played around with it a bit before, but had brought it up stairs to use for GP$ soon after. The wheel will take some practice to be driving at the same level I am already capable of with the DS2, but it will be much easier to make mistake free runs.

What? You just do as many as you want to do, and submit your best lap. Go to free run...

Can you please clarify this once and for all. I know the mode, but I would like to know which car to use. The default arcade car (so as to be on an even playing field), or a sim bought car (to allow tuning and hp advantages to some).

Please let me know.

alright, thanks askia.

I tried for about an hour and a half and got a best of around 1:33.9xx. I think I could probably atleast get down to a 1:33 flat. Maybe even lower. After I got a 1:33.9 I kept shaving off 5 tenths after the end of the first sector and then bonking. After using the analyzer I have already found what I think is the best line for all of the corners. Now I only have to worry about executing.

gotta get my time down more now

Im faster than you? im amazed. I was really impressed with your time in that other challenge. I couldnt even get close to it.

So what is your time as of now?

I will try to lower mine some more as well. As I said, I expect to get it down into the 1:32s. Maybe I will tonight.

Okay, I now know this course with the supra RZ like the back of my hand. I actually believe I have the perfect line memorized. If you guys would like me to share later, I can. I dont mean to be pompous, Im just taking pride in driving.

The analyzer is really handy, but I wish it could go in realtime or slowmotion sometimes, to analyze the throttle and brake application of the two ghosts. I find myself looking at a 5 second sector like 10 times before I can see who brakes later, and when. More options, and more cameras for the laptime analyzer would be a great addition to the next GT.

1:33.102

I know I can drop another 2 tenths or more. If i need to I will go do it. I will see what others can post first. Getting into the 1:32s is tempting, and I know the higher tier GTP drivers will probably be here soon.

I had just done about 20 laps straight all in the 1:33s. I was surprised I could be so consistent. I think being so confident that you know what to do at each corner before you get there helps you with consistency. Basically improving my time depends on how cleanly I can take the third gear left before the long back straight. To get high 1:33s I will shave my speed off to 56 for that corner. If I can get through it at 58-60 I get a much shorter first sector time. I actually got a first sector time -.498s once, but I started getting sloppy on the slight right directly after the end of sector 1. If I am going to get the way I take that corner back into shape I must analyze the short sectors for the hotlaps I have saved first. Sometimes I just start getting sloppy, and because the sector times had been changed by setting a new fastest lap, I dont know how cleanly I take that corner anymore.

1:32.872

thats it this time. I will go and improve only if someone beats my time. This really takes a lot of my time up for weekdays.

I can see room for improvement by analyzing replays. A lap compilation of my fastest sectors adds up to about 1:32.2. A 1:32 is definately possible.
