Hey guys I wanna get into the drift thing and I've been looking for a car to do it with so I just recently found a TVR Speed 12 and I think I'm gonna give it a try. I'm trying to find a good tune anyone have any ideas and tips for me?

I'm guessing something like:
sports hard tires
max HP
medium low transmission settings
low front ride hight
higher back suspension
cut the toe a bit

am I doing it wrong? tips?!

A Speed 12 would be a handful for even a pro! You have to learn to walk before you can run. Start with something like a lightly tuned Silvia, S2000 or RX7 with around 300 HP and work your way up from there.

really? I figured it'd be easier because of it's light weight and high power, ok what about my settings, any tips or do I have the general idea?

Light weight is good. Lots of power is not necessary, and for a beginner maybe not even desirable. Drifting is all about balance, throttle control and weight transfer, not power. I don't consider myself a GT drift master (although I've done a few real life events) but I think the tuning goal is generally the same for both race and drift setups: make the car as neutral as possible. The main difference should be the overall grip level i.e. comfort tires vs. sports or race tires. Shooting for excessive oversteer is something I try to avoid. After that, just pick a nice short course like Tsukuba and practice until you can drift lap after lap with no mistakes. When you get good at that, move on to faster cars and bigger tracks.

Thanks buddy :)

Are you posting from a phone or typing with your knuckles?

yea that was my iPhone, using opera mini too so the spelling correction doesn't work 👍

not that I need it as you can see but a touch screen isn't the most intuitive either w/e, kinda funny though

My first FR drift car was the HKS Geiken S15.

Its a great car to practise on with a wheel. With a DS3 you can pretty much use anything I think.
