Speed up controller steering already

I get that they have slowly sped it up over the last few updates, but it's still FAR too slow to be competitive. It tight corners I still feel like I am CRAWLING to get full lock. I understand smoothing it out and balancing it to the steering wheel, but this still leaves controller users at a huge disadvantage.

And with the low effort in other places, this doesn't motivate me to spend big dollars to buy a rig.

I presume you've adjusted the steering sensitivity to the max in the settings, right?

You can adjust the steering sensitivity if you think the steering is too slow.

Also have you bottomed your ride height on your cars, if so, raise them up some, your tyres can hit the inside wheel wells if too lowered and will prevent proper turning lock to lock.

I’ll never understand why most people still steer with their thumb when GT allows you to turn the DualShock into a wireless wheel without a base.
Because the motion controls leave a lot to be desired when it comes to precision, and also requires you to basically hold the controller in some not-naturally-comfortable-for-everyone positions?

People just need to give it a couple of days of practice. It’s like learning to swin or ride a bicycle. At first it feels counterintuitive, but suddenly you’ll wonder what made it challenging to begin with.

Something changed with controler steering in the last update. Maybe the first part of the movement is slow. Something about correcting is changed too.

Are you holding the controller up like a steering wheel so the buttons are facing you or are you aiming it parallel to the ground?

Think of it as steering a car vs steering a truck or bus.
What position works best for you?
I know GT is not an FPS game but I do NOT use WASD keys for movement, I am right handed so no, I do not use IJKL which left handers might use.
I use the arrow keys for movement, CTRL for crouching, shift for running, enter for jump, numpad for weapon changing.
This layout feels normal for me, I struggled to adapt to WASD.

Same thing here, people will use what feels normal for them.
Last thing we want is to use a controller like the Wii Wheel

I rest the controller in my lap like I would playing any other game. Turning is only a matter of lifting it slightly at the right end or left end. At this point I don’t even notice I’m doing it. The car on screen always responds as I expect it to.

because motion control is imprecise garbage.
You say that like the small range of movement you get on the stick is a benchmark of precision.

I don’t even know why you would say that. There’s a small deadzone at the center, but that’s a good thing making straight line driving relatively forgiving. Once the car actually turns, it’s as precise as it gets.

Stick controls do not even sync to the movement of the on-screen steering wheel. The motion sensor does.

Nonsense. That makes no sense at all.

Dualshock steering is much faster than using a steering wheel, specially to a full lock.
To get a full lock you must cross your arms or even reposition them in a wheel, depending on the wheel rotation needed for every car.

Also there aren't as many corners you need full lock at all.

Seems to me you set your cars to low on the front and your tires are restricted by wheelarches, nothing wrong with the controller or its speed.

People swear by it since the DS4 came out. I think people who knock it all think it's as bad as the wii or poorly programmed six axis games . The dualshock 4 has some incredibly impressive gyro sensors on it. If you ever want to experience some amazing first person , buy gravity rush 2 and try the optional first person view, your head is attached to the gyro sensor and its amazing.

Since I gave it a try on GT Sport, used until I bought a steering wheel. Only problem is wrapping your head around it's all about lifting or pulling, nor rotating like a proper steering wheel.
