Release Date: 5-17-2011

Something in the trailer about "Unlocking 1000+HP tuning options" wonder what they mean by this.

It includes both Drag racing and Standing Mile with the Speedhunters cars.

I know alot of people on here already know the release for this, i put it on here for the people who never saw the release date and plus it was in the vid.

I have no idea how to put a video directley on here so i just put the link. If anyone can tell me how to please?
Thanks.

you guys just made me very very happy wow excited PSN GET BACK ONLINE!!!!!!!!!

This is really a game that has something for everyone.

EA: Please don't give up on the Shift range and turn it into a proper franchise (separate from the NFS games)!

I'm going to buy this one. These guys here have been getting things done right and I believe that they will pull this off. It can't possibly be worse than Forza (a lame attempt) and 'maybe' most likely better than Prostreet's (which was decent).

I want to see more drag dedicated cars besides the Scion. If there was an option for fat and skinnie wheels/tires it would be awesome (like in Prostreet)...doubt that though.

8 guys for a quick race online seems fun enough to buy this DLC.

Also good after a few beers. Now that hot days arrived it'll happen often... :D

looks pretty cool, I'm glad that the drag racing will be divided into separate lanes, I thought that time attack with all the cars at the same time was bad enough

So... We get drag strips and, what, two new cars and a few liveries? For the same price as the Legends DLC pack?
I mean, the additional tuning options might be interesting to some folks, but since I usually don't like cars that are that crazy...

The Legends DLC was awesome as far as the value goes, in my opinion, I can't see this living up to its 'predecessor'.
But I do hope we'll see more DLC, much like Forza 3 did it back in its day.

The speedhunters cars are actually not just liveries they are specially tuned.

Man this is great.

1000HP machines and 12 specially tuned cars. That's well worth it just for those 2 things.

Now if only PSN would come back up i could get the Legends DLC as well.

Shift 2 is excellent, the Legends Packs looks brilliant and the upcoming DLCs seem great too!

I couldn't be more satisfied about a driving game but what I would like EA to release is a time multiplication DLC!! I really can't give Shift 2 and DLCs the time they deserve! :D

I must take a break from Shift 2 (and gaming in general) for some time and seeing that PSN is still down I guess I will have to postpone the purchase of any Shift 2 DLC for 2-3 months. I hope PSN will be up by then (I believe it will be fixed this week), all Shift 2 issues will be resolved and (hopefully) DLCs will be cheaper by then. :)

"Traction control and automatic transmission has been disabled for Standing Mile and you really have to work to launch the car cleanly."

Excellent. And 3 standing mile tracks included with the drag strips and the custom bunch of cars and tuning/upgrade options and this pack looks pretty sweet too!

This is going to be cool! Hopefully these will not be the end of S2u DLC.

So far there is only one more after this one. The one with the Audi R8 Spyder, Alfa Romeo 8C Spyder, Koenigsegg Agera, Aston Martin DBS Volante, Pagani Zonda Cinque Roaster.

I think there will be at least one more DLC.

In the career mode menu with the icons for the different disciplines at the right of the GT1 icon you can see sometimes (probably due to a bug) three more very thin/streched icons. The first one is light green (legends pack?), the next one red (speedhunters pack?) and the third one also red (unannounced future DLC maybe? please make it be a Ferrari pack!).

Speculation... sure! :)
But I am sure more people have seen these icons...

Sorry it ain't Ferrari's. The 3rd pack contains these cars:
Alfa Romeo 8C Spider
Aston Martin DBS Volante
Audi R8 Spyder
Koenigsegg Agera
Pagani Cinque Roadster

& who knows what else.

No idea what their DLC plans are, but I wouldn't necessarily count out more DLC based solely on existing assets you see in the game now. Other than some very slim odds and ends (eg no more than single files among other stuff that also never eventuated) there was no sign of anything much to do with the Exotic DLC in the released version of Shift. It was only when we checked out the master car performance rating file in the Ferrari DLC (with a hex editor - no plaintext references even! :)) that we saw any mention of the exotic dlc cars.

If the current DLCs sell well, Shift 2 sales increase and EA and SMS have a good relationship, then I am sure we will see more, unplanned DLCs down the road. Shift 2 is such a good game that I will probably buy all the DLCs that will come out. :D

I wish though they would release the DLCs for PC too. I have a PS3 but I don't see why PC players should miss out on fun! Another thing that Shift 2 is good. While GT and Forza are console-lock-in games Shift 2 is cross-platform offering a great experience everywhere. If only they would manage to deliver the DLCs on PC with a Steam-like system, EA would really like the extra cash! ;)

Bobox, is Shift 2 as mod-friendly as Shift 1 (I still remember the excellent Forza 3 to Shift conversions you posted ;)) or it's more difficult to add custom car models?

PC code. The cars are already in the game code.

Now if we can Works the Koenigsegg Agera & Pagani Cinque Roadster I would guess them to be the highest rated PI cars in the game.

Nice cars! Sounds like a "Convertible Pack".
But still, it doesn't seem to fit the Shift 2 style since Shift 2 is about racing and not about driving cars with the roof down. These cars sound more like Hot-Pursuit tie-in...

But 5 cars (which are convertible variants) is much less content than the first two DLCs. I think there will be more cars and/or new tracks and game modes or the rumor is wrong and the next DLC will be something completely different.

Let the wild speculation begin! Nah... I'm kidding, no need to go there... :)

Koenigsegg Agera & Pagani Cinque Roadster. Right there. Those two will make the pack worth wild if we can works them since they will utterly destroy everything. Cinque is the street version of the Zonda R & the Agera is the CCX hopped up on sugar.

It would be even better if it was the Agera R...
