A new chapter in the Spider-Man universe is out, coinciding with release of PS5.
I've been able to get my hands on the new system and played a few hours of the game today.
It looks really good with all the ray-tracing effects and improved lighting and character models.
Here's a video of a fight that happens very early in the game I captured directly on PS5:
I don't usually play these types of games - last game I played that was similar was probably Batman Arkham Asylum about 10 years ago.
So for now I'm still getting used to the controls, but overall the gameplay is fun even for someone who's not great at it.
I know some people have said that it's kind of like a DLC or expansion to the 2018 game, but for me there is plenty to do.
I'm pretty sure I'll spend much more than approximate 10 hours it's supposed to take for the main mission.
Here are a few screenshots of the game using fidelity mode. It looks even better on a 4k HDR display.
