Well, I just saw Spider Man: The movie, and am very pleased with the result. As a former avid reader of Spider Man Comic books (Amongst others) I was pleased with how true to the source material they stayed (Most Comic book to movies get a royal butchering). Lot's of things received the usual movie "Tweaks" but nothing I couldn't survive.
As for the movie itself, I thought it was pretty darn good. I actually had started to get discouraged by all of the hype (Usually this means that the movie stinks, and they want to make money before word of mouth kills sales) Tobey Mcguire was perfect in the Title role, and Kirsten Dunst was looking quite good as well ;)
Look for some Cameos as well by the Macho man Randy Savage, Bruce Campbell and Stan Lee. (Two points for the first person that can tell me where Stan Lee pops up)
While it's not the type of movie I would go to see multiple times in the theatre, It's a definite must see, and an encouraging start for this season of summer Blockbusters.
And to top it all off, they had the trailer for Marvel Comic's next film.... "The Hulk." :D

ya it was good VERY nice special effects....Star Wars Episode II will have even better special effects....... 😈

Still waiting to see it.... I think I'll wait until it comes out on VHS...:)

So did the storyline seem to flow pretty good? Was the big scenes that were deleted (i.e. Twin Towers) seem to have a huge effect on the overall story?

i don't know if i'd like it, i've never really read Spider-Man, i used to read DC vs Marvel (i love that comic)

So i might go see it just for courosity

I saw Spider-Man as well. It was a very good movie. Kirsten Dunst was hot in it. I cant wait to see the Hulk whenever it comes out. I give Spider-Man a 8/10. :)

Ahhh yes..... I totally forgot to mention that the Twin towers appear in the movie in both their former and current states. The big Twin tower scene where the helecopter gets caught in the web spun between the two has been removed, but little glimpses were left in.
Btw... for all that don't know (Assuming the nickname isn't common to some of the members from foreign countries) the twin towers are the World trade center.

While this might not seem like a big deal to most, as a native New Yorker, it's nice to see that Hollywood can admit that the WTC actually existed (It has been removed from 3 movies that I am aware of in post production) For a while I was beginning to think I would never again see the king Kong Remake featuring the WTC, but now it's at least a possibility. :)

its stupid that movie edit out the world trade centers just because they where destroyed. I mean the titanic went down and they made an entire movie about it and no one cared.

It's quite a few years later you know...

It was a great great movie. I hear the second installment comes out May 7, 2004 just in time for my birthday again. :D

Well, I saw the boot-leg VHS version. Despite the poor vivsibility, people getting up, coughing ,and laughing, I liked it so much I had to see it twice. I think the storyline flows well, and at the end sets it up for a sequel, or maybe, even a TRILOGY!!

It's already signed to be a Trilogy, Toby McGuire is signed to do the next 2 films for 23 million (For both, not each)

:)

:D Can't wait to see it. Sounds like you guys got into it so I'll take that as a good thing!! Sometimes in an effort to be politically correct people that create entertainment for the masses try not to offend any group/idea/or peoples feelings. To bad the news isn't so sanitized, I might let my kids watch. Oh well they'll just have to settle for SpiderMan.
