Spinning out

Hi guys

I had a little break in playing GT (about 3 months). Previously I could drift almost every car round every corner. Now Ive got a big problem - trying to drift a faster corner (100kph) the rear spins out, no matter what I do - no throttle, pushing it gently, wide open, full countersteer. No reaction at all. (Cars are Blitz, Ferrari California, even the Merc SL55 spins out)

Is it possible there is some steering wheel setting that may have changed overtime? (My wheel is Logitech Formula Force GP)
Or is it me who sucks so badly?

Not clear if I can help: seems like you are going to fast, where the force is too high once you loose grip and the angle goes beyond something you can can control.

Did you try to put tires on that give more grip, the cars you mention are quite easy to drift, even with better grip wheels, that should change the angle you get once the back breaks out. Once you get the feeling to control the breaking point back, you can try the lower grip wheels again.

My point is that I can smoothly control the car while drifting rather slow and tight (50-60kph) - corners such as the set of four initial corners of Eiger - no problem.

Cars spin out on longer and faster corners (the couple before and after the tunnel). Same thing at Suzuka.

I tried many setups and tires, but it just doesn't work. The feeling is like the steering angle is too low (mine is set to 50) or the steering wheel doesn't make a full turn.

Today I noticed that i can easily drift HSR using DS3, while it is impossible with my steering wheel, because, as I mentioned before, it seems like it's not making a full turn in the game (so the rear spins out).

Something's wrong with the wheel or settings? Any ideas?

Just bought Driving Force GT and everything's perfect.
Seems like the previous wheel was simply crappy, settings had nothing to do with it.

Anyway thanks for advice, guys.

You can close the thread yourself in the thread tools, for threads you created.

I was thinking you should play with your ° settings on the steering wheel 900° might be to slow and difficult to get to the lock quick enough. I personally do not drift with the wheel. (Partner finds it too noisy in our small apartment).
