Split Screen Sound Issue

I've searched a bit through this forum and can't find anything relevant, so I still have hopes that I am doing something wrong with my GT5 copy. It seems that whenever I try to play in split screen with a friend, the dominant sound is usually player 2 (bottom screen). My PS3 is connected to a 5.1 system (dolby digital not DTS) but to me, the game should split the sound between the two players to maybe "left" & "right". As a result, player one doesnt know when to change gears, and has to opt for automatic transmission which is crap. Any ideas?

I've had this problem ever since the game came out. Player two is always louder, even out of the speakers on a TV.

Mine too, P2 is always louder, which ends up being a good thing, since my P2 screen never has a HUD.

The louder engine noise comes in handy so you know when to shift...hehe

Ive had sound issues with GT specifically. It doesn't only happen in 2 player though.. like the left side is always quieter than the right. Ive checked the speakers, connections, and with other games and its fine, just with GT5.

Can't say that I have single player issues Evolvedsoul... only in split screen...seriously...after 1000 years of development...how can they miss such a thing...

did anyone find a workaround to this issue?

or was anyone able to tell polyphony digital about this issue?

i didn't find any way to contact them and would really like this issue to be fixed even more because i think it should be pretty easy to fix... :/
