Spoon Vs Mugen

I have all the Spoons in the game and bought or won the Mugens.

I noticed that you can get more Hp out of the Mugens but when it comes to performance the spoons seem to rule...Bizarre :odd:

I know they're a bit lighter but it can't explain everything....

So in my book it's Spoon 1 - Mugen 0

(except for the Mugen Prelude Type S...I like this one!)

Spoon and Mugen are both tuning companies for Honda. I personally don't like the Spoons that much. Some of them look wierd. I like the Mugen's more, because they don't have a black hood.

Well, it's true the Mugen civic type R looks fab, but I have a real soft spot for the white Spoon Integra...don't ask me why

Anyway, my Spoon Integra Blasts the AI under 591hp vehicles, apart from the GT300 races.

Yeah, I was barely able to beat the Spoon integra with a fully tuned Levin in the NA cup. I was able to catch up on apricot hills corners but, he killed me on the straights. Although the levin fully tuned only has about 200 something bhp with the na tuning.

I want to get the Spoon integra after that incident.

Win a few NA No.1 races and you're in like Flynn.

Yup.
I had the spoon civic before and it was pretty good, although that carbon fibre hood did look odd. Although you gotta have a carbon fibre hood.

I just want to know how they get the rpm's so high on the spoon engines.

in my humble opinion, its mugen all the way. Spoons dont go high enough for my liking, but no arguments over the spoon integra, it rocks with 10000rpm. The spoon s2000 bites, but the mugen civic and integras are sweet.

the best of all has to be the mugen beat...

Is it the yellow one with black bonnet and the Jordan wasps/hornets on the side???

I saw the one in the Geneva car show a few years ago and it looked stunning!

Well, 12000rpm from a V10 is probably easier to get than 12000rpm from an inline-4 ;).

I sympathize with both companies, really, but Spoon takes the cake. Mugens don't grip quite as well, and they never look as good. Good lord, there's nothing cooler than that tin can of a Civic flipping the shaft over 12000 times a minute.

Spoon by far, as for the RPM's it's all head design. Honda bases all of their engines off of Motorcyle designs, that is why their 4 cylinders are High revving torque-less cars. They are dependant on high rev's and most use of the HP as apposed to torque, cause if you redline at 8000, when you shift, you're already back into the HP power range, and you could give a ratz azz about the torque curve. But i'd put my vote in spoon
Mugen as of late has been more visually oriented as compared to performance, I know they're BASICaLLY the same company, but Spoon is still headed in the right direction, mugen's on the path to ricedom.

--edit--
Joey, you left out the carbon fiber lip and side skirts, it's so much better with those.
