Sports Mode Registration - Mandatory secondary region

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but the search didn't find anything similar.

When the last update occurred and the Championship went live we were required to register our location.

Choosing my state NSW in AUS required me to put in a secondary region however the list of regions were all regional outside of Sydney. I couldn't say i was from the Sydney area. I ended up picking a random region which i felt closest to Sydney.

Did PD ever address this?

Nope. It's even worse here in South Australia. In an area that's 984,377 sq. kms. (which is four times the size of the U.K.) we've been given one tiny 37 sq. km. local council region (City of West Torrens) for the whole state .

The areas were fairly jacked in other regions as well but some were addressed in the last major update so there's still hope.

Dont they know that approximately something like 75% of the state lives in Sydney... hell the Sony Headquarters is in Walker St. in North Sydney... which isnt represented in the the NSW GT Sport regions.

Ottawa Canada has a similar problem: It’s not listed at all. But so many tiny communities, places I’ve never even heard of are listed but the national capital isn’t!

I wonder if it has anything to do with Quebec, which is right across the river and banned from the GT championship.

Sames goes for me in Argentina, they missed freaking Capital Federal the biggest and most crowded part of the country but a lot of small counties appear

PD needs to take a geography class.

UK was awful at first but they quickly fixed it. Hopefully they'll sort it soon for you guys.

meh I picked Orange even though I'm in Sydney..... didnt think it would be much of a an issue, it's not like I'm a DRIVE GUN and make the Top 10s for anything anyway.

LOL well apparently im one of the top rated in in gosford lol and i did not do well in the cups... i guess no one picked gosford haha

But until today this problem has not been solved.
I can't find a Polyphony contact to resolve this issue.

I'm not sure where you're from but in Australia PD has made it a lot better than it first was.

This is for my region originally. It didn't even have the capital city, just a random Adelaide council region.

After one of the early updates we had this, and there are more regions but they didn't fit in the screen shot. It still wasn't perfect for everyone but it was much better than it was.... and at least PD had added the capital city.

I'm from São Paulo, Brazil. Even though it's an important city and it's not on the list.. c'mon we have Interlagos =p
