Well i went from panic mode with no electricity tonight , to then having electricity an hour before room opened, to then being disconnected 20min into the race with the lead :(. I had a Badass long run tune on this car, with an even better pit strategy. I think the fact of knowing I created this endurance event makes it sting a bit more, and I practiced my tail off. #crushed :indiff:
That really sucks! I feel for you!
Thanks for letting me join tonight, I had a blast.

:gtpflag:Ok time to shift gears and prepare for our next series! Mcinnis has put together something the crew has been asking for, Team Racing . Please read and understand what's about to take place, this is a complex series and requires you to do some reading!!!!!! So please take the time to understand things and ask questions if your dont understanding something, we are here to help:tup:.

:gtpflag:Default Tune Glitch:gtpflag:

Something we need everyone to do is change any one of your tire pressure just one click up or down, then save that tune to all tracks. You ask why , if you dont do this you will not have enough fuel for the race, and you will run out . So if ya have a tune on this car go write it down and keep it in a safe place. Then when series is over you can apply it back to that car :D.

--- Teams / Liveries / Numbers ---
Teammates will be decided based off the results of the Ginetta Junior 2 Series. Upon completion of that series, drivers will be tagged to notify of their teammate, team and livery/number. Teams will be aligned as followed:

1st & 16th, 2nd & 15th, 3rd & 14th, 4th & 13th, 5th & 12th, 6th & 11th, 7th & 10th, 8th & 9th.

Please do not post livery selections. Teams and Liveries will be randomly assigned after teammates are decided. Reserves will auto join the first team to be missing a driver.

--- Team Points, Bonus Points & Scoring ---
The points system will award every driver points, 30-1. Driver points will be added up and averaged to total Team points. Teams with only 1 driver will have their imaginary teammates points based on the inverse of their finishing position. So a driver that finishes 1st without a teammate will add 16th place points to the team, 2nd will add 15th place points. ect.

2 Bonus points will be awarded to drivers on teams that finish in consecutive position. Example, teams that place 1st and 2nd, or 2nd and 3rd, but not 1st and third. Teams with only 1 driver will be ineligible for Bonus points

--- Schedule Notes ---
Two of the races in this series (Gila Crest & Stowe) do not allow for Practice or Qualifying Sessions. Since these two tracks will be the first races of their respective evenings, instead of the standard 1 hour Qualifying and 5 minute warmup before the first race, we will use the following schedule:

7:30 EST - Lobby Opens / Invites out
7:40 EST - Warmup Race 1 (10 Mins)
7:50 EST - Break / Invites
7:55 EST - Warmup Race 2 (10 Mins)
8:05 EST - Break / Invites
8:10 EST - Qualifying Race (15 Mins)
8:25 EST - Break / Grid Order Posted in Race Control Chat
8:35 EST - Race Start

Grid Position will be determined by fastest lap times of qualifying race, not finishing position of the Qualifying Race.

This is obviously something we have not tried before, and might be confusing, but it's all in the name of fun, so we will see how it goes!

If you already have a tune on the car i believe you'll get the fuel.
Also your fuel does not refill when you go back into the pits during qualifying.

Got bumped into a 10 second penalty at Eau Rouge... (just discovered its only the left hand turn)
And then ran out of fuel. Needed 1 or more liters and i would of caught BR on the last lap and not handed it over to Boomer on the last 200m. I cut the chicane on the last lap to save fuel and didn't even get a penalty! If it wasnt for that i wouldnt of been able to roll around the last corner and down the hill. Smartest thing ive done in a while. :banghead:

I dont mind losing to a driver, but getting beat by the ps4 error blue screen makes me want to rage :banghead:. Glad you guys had a good time, i just wish i could have got back in the room and watched. I did have to power down quickly because it had my wheel locked hard left and I couldn't really move it, so I bolted off to power it down to save it!

Perhaps we could do another one after the radical series?...guys? Who votes to give mphile another chance to win the lotus challenge?... he put in a lot of time and effort.!
Perhaps even throw in the ford gt mk 4 ? I think they would be competitive.

I think i will survive :D, but i like the sound of the classic ford gt

I apologize for not having this up sooner, but I probably apologized more after my spin on lap 1. :banghead:

Some SUPER impressive outings in this one, @yogi bear and @etcetera_997 showed up and battled in the top 5 with the regulars. Not to be outdone however by @MrGrim or is it @XxGrimxX ? (Seriously dude pick one). He takes a very impressive win with the craggy old car he, and most everyone, complained about. The only one really put out was race organizer @mphile77 , who is sure to come back even harder at us with his next challenge.

Thanks to everyone who showed up and stuck it out. Sounds like everyone had a pretty good time. The Radicals are next. let's get wild.

:gtpflag:Mphile's wheel story :gtpflag:

Many of you know my story on wheels :banghead:. I was the guy who bought the t300rs the day it came out, great right , nooooo:nervous:. That wheel broke after six months, then I contacted thrustmaster and all the fun began :banghead:. Well after a month, with about 17 emails later and all gray hair now I received my replacement wheel! Good right , noooooooo it broke a month in :banghead:. 17 more emails and now no hair I received another wheel. So I tested it and it worked, so i put it on the bench. Reason why is because i was pissed and bought the g29 the day it came out and found a t500 on ebay for a great deal! So i used the g29 and just hated the lack of ffb, so it went on the bench. Next up was the t500, and holy smokes that baby was bad ass . I was now all settled in and having fun again :dunce:.

Fast forward 2 years, my t500 quit on me the other night :(. After some testing and replacing the power supply no luck, she is cooked:grumpy:. So in the past few yrs i have sold the g29 to a buddy, but still had the t300 waiting for me. So i pulled it off the shelf and off i went, everything is good to go so far, but the wheel does creek and moan a bit .

:gtpflag:The Juicy stuff :gtpflag:

Ive done my thinking on this next part, and came to this, lets bolt a cooling fan on the darn wheel and see if it lasts longer than 6 months this time around? I did some online stalking of other thrustmaster owners, and found a guy who did this to his t500 to reduce ffb fade. So I figured what the hell lets do it, it can only be better to keep your electronics cool, we all know this fact 👍. So here are some photos, i will have updates to follow on this upgrade to the cooling system, lets hope this works and creates a longer life for my t300 :D.

1)Step one-split the case and drill some holes down low to allow air to travel up through housing.

Step 2)- open up a hole on the top of housing above the motor area for the fan.

Step 3- mount fan

Now reassemble and hope for the best!

Well first test of the new fan setup wasn't to bad. I wasn't told that it was to loud so that was my only concern going in with it. It should hopefully pay off in life of my wheel, fingers crossed!
