As we know Standard cars are generally associated with cars ported from the PS2 games, but this is a thread to document, show off, and discuss the origins of the Standards that aren't featured in GT3 or GT4.

I will start off with two of the major ones, the battling Playstation LMP cars from 2005. Both cars started in GTPSP.

I look forward to everyone else's contributions.

Don't Forget the Mazda Furai, debuted in GTPSP and remains a standard car to this day. Unlike the others that debuted in GTPSP such as the C6 ZR-1, GT-R Spec V, and those featured as Standard in GT5 but now featured as Premiums in GT6 such as the Countachs and the Veyron.

Something you need to know is that the Pescarolo (and Oreca R8 '04) is prominently displayed in GT HD Classic screenshots. ;)

GT4 is not the *source* of the Standard cars, it is common misconception.

GT PSP cars are the final *source*

However, what is crazy is how GT PSP "standards" had a modeled bonnet, outer mirrors, antennas, moving chassis parts, etc.
You're mostly right but I don't remember the Auto Union Streamliner in GTPSP.
