Thanks for the list! Nice work! :)

I'm going to change the rims of the Speed 12 and the NSX LM ASAP ;)

Thank you very much for this list. I just put new wheeils on a 2CV last night.

This is one of my favorite new features added to GT5 since release.

Does anyone know of a car that you can change wheels, but you really should not be able to? It seems that PD has been pretty good about this in only allowing changes that might actually happen. (But I'm sure some of the old cars used some strange offset combination IRL that no aftermarket wheel has ever matched.)

All the love for this thread is appreciated, as you can see it's been around for a while gathering dust until the recent update.

i can confirm that the volvo 240 can have it's rims changed, looks pretty sweet. dunno if you're trying to compile a list of ALL cars you can change rims on, but i know that volvo looks like a boss with them on lol

I was in two minds as to the inclusion of the big Volvo, as it's not a particularly oddball car in itself, but an odd choice of addition to the game. I had also changed mine as soon as the original date of rim change availability, and to be honest any of the rims was a change for the good! I will include it in the OP now though.

You could, technically, argue that all the concept models should not have the ability for changeable rims, as for the most part concepts are either clay models or 3d computer renderings. The latter example doesn't ring true as much as there's nothing physically holding back the change of rims when it's just an idea in a computer, but you get the idea, lol.

I was originally going to just list the race models, but then other noteworthy cars came to light. It now seems that besides race models there's only around six cars that you can't change the rims of, so I think listing all the cars that can would make for a much larger post than would be feasible.

I really hope that some more of the race models get included into this soon, as there are some shockingly bad rims on some of those. My personal pet hate of the moment is the Citroen Xsara Rally Car, with the wheels that seemingly get wider at the centre, convexed rather than concaved, just awful! Would also love to change the R8 LMS' rims for something more beefy!

The R8 LMS should definitely have changable rims. At least the unmarked version that comes in a bunch of colors. Hopefully in 2.05 they let us paint more cars like the ELEMENT (WTH PD why can't you already), the Clix Concept, the Furai, and the R8 LMS, to name a few.

I don't think there's been a complete list compiled for this, so here is a list of all the race modified cars in my standards garage that can have their rims changed. I've also included the concept cars, tuning house models and the oddballs, which aren't race modified cars, but may have been presumed as not possible to change.

  • Volkswagon Beetle Cup Car (Posted by MadMax86)
  • Volkswagon Lupo Cup Car
  • Volkswagon Lupo Gti Cup Car

Concept Cars
  • Acura DNX Concept & Honda Dualnote - Looks like a real supercar afterwards

  • Audi Pikes Peak Quattro
  • Audi Le Mans Quattro 2.04 Update
  • Audi Nuvolari Quattro 2.04 Update
  • Cadillac Cien Concept

  • Chevrolet Silverado Concept
  • Dome Zero Concept (Posted by ZDUPH)
  • Honda NSX-R concept - Looks good even on the standard wheels, but now there's some choices! (Posted by SavageEvil)

  • Mazda Kusabi Concept
  • Mazda MX Crossport Concept
  • Mazda RX8 Concept - Both the Type I & Type II can have new rims
  • Mitsubishi HSRII Concept Car - Looks rather good with new wheels!
  • Mitsubishi i Concept
  • Nissan GTR Concept (Tokyo Motor Show) - Another that has an immediately satisfying feeling when changing the rims. 2.04 Update
  • Nissan Sileighty - Probably belongs here in the concept car section
  • Pontiac Solstice Coupe Concept
  • Suzuki Concept S2
  • Volkswagon Nardo Concept 2.04 Update

Tuning House Cars
  • Amuse - All the Amuse cars can have new rims
  • Callaway C12 - Love the look of the Rays Triniti's on this car
  • HPA Stage II Golf R32 - Those phatt white 5 spokes look awesome on this!
  • HKS Genki Silvia - Surprising, but also a little pointless, as you cannot colour them in the split pairing like the stock ones
  • Mines - Both the Skyline and Lancer can have new rims
  • Mugen S2000
  • Nismo - All Nismo cars can have new rims, and all look amazing afterwards!
  • Opera Performance - Both the cars can have new wheels, and they really needed them to be honest.
  • RUF - All the Porsches look dramatically better with a decent set of wheels on
  • Tommy Kaira ZZII - And it definitely looks much better for it (Posted by SavageEvil)
  • TRD Toyota Celica
  • Trial Toyota Celica
  • Shelby - Both cars. (Now, I know that Shelby is now building their own stuff, but they started by modifying existing cars)
  • Spoon - All cars
  • Tom's X540 Chaser - Those original 4 spokes were annoying me

The Strange Ones (Oddities that you might have thought would not be possible to change the rims of)
  • AC Cars 427 S/C 2.04 Update (Submited by ZDUPH)
  • Buick Special - Big alloys, raise the front ride height for that hip-hop look!
  • Cizeta V16T 2.04 Update
  • Citroen 2CV - Just ridiculously funny!
  • DMC Deloreon - I know, it's sacrilegious but the BBS ones kinda suit it
  • Jensen Interceptor - Add a modern twist to this utter classic, that bodyline is extremely forgiving
  • Lamborghini Countach - Both versions can have rims changed, but only if you're brave enough. The "preview" looks a little odd, but the finish is slightly better.
  • Lotus Europa
  • Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car - Belongs better in this section, as it's "supposed" to be a road car, lol!
  • Nissan Skyline HT 2000GT-R - Finally, got rid of those horrible steels! Now, just implement some bodykits for it!
  • Renault Avantime - You can now complete the Top Gear reproduction model with a set of black multispoked rims. (Expect to see this everywhere now though)
  • Renaultsport Clio / Lutecia V6 24v
  • Renault Clio / Lutecia V6 24V Phase 2 - Finally! 2.04 Update
  • Saleen S7 2.04 Update
  • Spyker C8 Laviolette 2.04 Update
  • Toyota RSC - A road-going rally raider that looks like it was taken from the set of judge dredd!
  • Toyota Sprinter (S. Shigeno vers.) - Some of you might be screaming "NOOO!" right now, but I neither know or care for the history of this car, I just know that I love the way it looks.
  • TVR Speed Twelve 2.04 Update
  • Volkswagon Beetle 1100 standard (type 11) - Looks ridiculous as the alloys seem to be about 6 inches deep.
  • Volkswagon Beetle RSI - I didn't think this would be possible
  • Volkswagon Karmann Ghia Coupe - Although the wheels seem a little bit too big

Unfortunately there isn't a single rally car that I have that can have new wheels. Other disappointments included Audi R8 LMS or any more of PD's fictitious LM models such as the Impreza Super Touring etc.

Good job on the list mate !👍
It would be nice of PD to also include changeable rim sizes in a future update?
There's nothing better than filling out the wheel arches with bigger rims/tyres hehe:drool:

Really wish I could change the rims on the Viper GTS-R Concept but I'm very happy I can change the Saleen S7 rims now. Thank you for this great list!
