So I'm in the process of building a new sim rig and was going to come up with a keyboard and mouse tray simply to navigate menus like everyone else does (for PC). With the introduction of the new Steam controller which functions like a keyboard and mouse, I'm thinking I wont have to now.

Now I've yet to test this out but I'm thinking it will be able to completely replace the need for keyboard and mouse while freeing up space on sim rigs.

Anyway for those who haven't seen how the steam controller works or what it is heres a quick overview video

I'm curious if anyone has tried this out on any PC sims yet, let me know.
I will be testing this later if I can pry myself away from Fallout 4.

Maybe I'm wrong here but this seems like it could be a great thing for Sim Racers.

Or you could just get one of those small wireless keyboards with integrated touchpad from Microsoft, Logitech etc. They are cheap and work well for simracing.

And what about those key combinations? Like Ctrl+T for example. How would you do those on the Steam controller. May be there is a way to map those, but it will be quite a haste for the different sims.
