Steering issue? Problem of setting?

Hi, I am new to drift, I use G25, i start to practice and practice a month ago, then I successfully drift, a little bit, with my z4 (sport hard). However, since the Z4 is a bit heavy, I would like to go for some lighter car, like the Rx7. I bought it and tuned it to 450 ps. People suggest me to use comfort hard. However, I found that it is extremely hard to control the car with comfort hard, then I started to look for video on the internet, I saw experts who drift with wheel normally turn the wheel very fast and they are like turning from lock to lock.

I wonder how can they do it? because when I follow them my car is even more out of control! when I drift the z4, i normally just turn within 270 degree. How can people turn that fast but still controlling the car that well? Is that the problem of my setting?

it's probably different FFB settings, try lowing it to 1, its pretty easy to control at that level, and once you get good at that, turn it up, I can manage switch backs going from lock to lock with careful throttle control, just keep practicing. Don't be afraid to throw the wheel around, I had difficulties grasping that aswell, but I had someone online give me a few hints to get me started, and now I can drift just fine at FFB 5, it's all about practice.

Thanks, will try to lower it to 1 tonight. But then, is comfort hard suitable for 450ps car? because i think the power is way over the grip...they got overheated very easily, once the front overheated, i can't even turn....

The comfort hard really kills me...i really can't control the car....for small slow hairpin is fine, but everytime when i go to high speed or bigger corner, the car will over steering at the middle for sure... is there anyway to fix? is that my setter problem?

by the way, sure i practice on drift mode or free run mode? the physic are so different...

I tried FFB 1, it is a bit better, but now i realize the major problem is... the wheel go really crazy...every time when i lost control, it automatically turn from lock to lock and then lock to lock again...when I in a drift, after countersteering, say left, i can't just let go of the wheel and let it automatically go back to center, i have to manually turn it to center and hold it, otherwise, it will go all the way to right, and i will lost control again....

what is the problem.....

how come in this video

this guy can turn the wheel that easily?

Your almost there! What you said about turning the wheel to the centre youreself is the correct thing to do when you want to end your drift cleanly. If you want to transition into the next corner you carefully let it spin "all the way to the right" for your next drift into the other direction.

Really all you have to do now is practice, practice! Learn the clean exit first and you will automatically learn the transition by screwing up..

Thanks.

Right now i am ok with small hair pin or some 90 degree drift, but I can't hold it in a big high speed corner, such as the corner before entering to the tunnel in Eiger, i have to drift 2 times for that corner, or most of the time, it oversteers at the middle of the drift.....is there anyway to improve it?
