Steering Lag

Hi Everyone,

I have a logitech G29 which i have never had problems with.

But when i drive on the Nordschleife in GT7, sometimes my steering wheel starts lagging and freezes my on screen wheel for like a second. I can still brake and add or go off throttle, which also will appear on screen immediately and the rest of the screen keeps moving.

It is mostly in the mid and high speed corners, both left and right. I've only noticed it on the Nordschleife Tourist layout with the RE Amemiya RX7.

It is not my steering wheel because i only have it in GT7, i've tested it in Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, The Crew 2 and several WRC games but the problem didnt appear in any of them.

Is this a problem i can change with different steering settings or is this just a problem that needs to be patched by PD?

I have already tried a lot of different ride heights, not with having in mind if it would fix the issue but just to see how the car would react and what ride height would be better for the Nordschleife. Weirdly enough it was on the base setup already, and kept occurring on both low and high.

This. And some cars are extremely susceptible to it. Even just the competition suspension at its standard height causes problems, or going widebody on some cars.

Nurburgring is also one of the tracks that exacerbates it most. There are a lot of sections where you turn with compressed suspension which will force the wheels up into the body.

It sucks becuase some cars look sooo good lowered a bunch, but are undrivable when they are. The classic Beetle and older Carrera RS are two pretty big offenders.

Just keep raising the ride height 10mm at a time until the steering stops clipping.

It's a bug. It's not a ride height issue. It has plagued GT7 for years.

There's also an understeer bug. I thought it was addressed with the latest update but it happened to me twice yesterday.

I had to close the game and restart my PS5 to temporarily resolve it.

It seems to trigger when you mess with controller settings and experiment with different type of Assists.

It's infuriating.

Both PS4 and PS5 record everything that they see, for up to an hour. Please capture the issue, upload the video to any video-sharing website, and post the link here to allow people to see what's happening.

This is the worst thing about it being a feature of the game, when there is no merit in enabling it other than creating a bad mechanic situation.
In my opinion, the slider should be limited to a min-value where it cant happen (as it doesnt happen with all cars but only a small selection), your racing team wouldnt setup your car like this anyway.
