steering wheel question G27.....

I am heavily considering purchasing the G27

Before I spend the money I have a question....

I have watched numerous YouTube videos and read lots of reviews. It looks like a nice quality product and I'm very confident that it will be a huge upgrade to my personal gaming experience ( I use the controller ) I've never used a steering wheel on a videogame...

I drive manual transmission cars in real life.....always have......

So can any of you experienced with the G27 explain to me how the clutch works....????

example.... Do you have to feather clutch and gas / will you stall out if you don't upon takeoff??? Do you have to press the clutch to do gear changes???? Or is the clutch just for mental realism.......

Any and all information on how the clutch system works on the G27 with gran turismo will be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a wheel but the general consensus is it's difficult to be as fast with the clutch + H shifter as it is with paddle shifters because of the way they've coded it. Basically unless you're very careful with the clutch and apply essentially no throttle while shifting you'll miss the gear. But a lot of guys enjoy the extra challenge so if that's you, you may enjoy having the option. 👍

Getting a racing wheel is a must have for a avid gt5 player, i own a G27 and can safely say it's a great wheel.
as for the clutch, yes the car will stall, and the clutch is functional, although it's not very realistic in gt (no flat shifting, lots of mis-shifting ect).

It will take time for you to get used to it, it is tough to be quick in the first month.

The clutch actually works. You can't power shift, and the car will stall out if you come to a stop with out the clutch as well as not launching correctly. And if you mess up a shift the car will automatically go into neutral.
