You want what for it!?
I know there is always a debate over what is the best way to steer you car around a track with either a wheel or a standard controller. Back when I first got GT4, I purchased a logitech driving force wheel to go along with it. Whilst the wheel was only a couple of years old when I bought my PS3, it wasn't compatible and I sold it during a garage sale some 8 months ago. I moved house and continued my life journey into a residential area of a 160,000 inhabitant city. The internet was always a bit average here so I never bothered with hooking my PS3 back up to the net as system updates took too long and occasionally froze. Anyway, I picked up GT5:P the other day and decided to start playing again. I found that there is only so much enjoyment you can get from single player day after day. I rang my internet service provider and they are currently trying to boost my interweb speeds so I can get online.

What I want to know from you guys is, because I am new to the forums and online racing in general, should I purchase a G25 wheel from my local gaming store as I want that Gran Turismo experience to be perfect, and I think it will improve my lap times greatly. For reference I have been creating my own little 550pp M3 races as listed in your Race event sub-forums. My time on a standard dualshock3 controller was bested at (don't laugh) 1'55.7 along Fuji F. This also gives me finger cramps after about 3 laps so I can't keep going for a long period. I also can't seem to keep that M3's bottom stable through fast-approach corners with the 1cm or so of right trigger travel.

The second thing I want to know is if my version of GT5P being SpecII effect the time listed above making me either slower than the SpecIII upgrade or faster.

Help would be appreciated, thanks.

G25 is worth every penny 👍 I purchased one about 4 months ago and driving skill, and just overall enjoyment of the game for me has improved drastically. Don't hesitate to buy one 👍

As for SpecII and SpecIII. There is a difference in the game play so I suggest you update to SpecIII. All the current event's are run with SpecIII

I got a G25 about 3 months ago now after completing all the events with Sixaxis controller. I must say its a massive move from controller but worth every penny, its so immersive but frustrating as I try to claw back my lap times. Definitely upgrade to SpecIII.

Why would anyone laugh about it? When I played GT4 I always get a cramp finger, worst of all, it swollen and pains:scared:.
About the G25, if you've drive a manual car in real life, then GT5P always have the same experience, just be careful with racing cars. But if you drive auto or never drive a real car, and you're ready to learn something new, the G25 is the thing you must get.

yup buy a g25 it's great :)

Don't expect to immediately get better laptimes though. G25 does not make you a better driver ;)

I guess it's a G25 for an early christmas pressie then!

I understand I wont become Michael Schumacher instantly, but I have faith in a wheel and solomnly swear to persist through the tough, the rough and the downright scary.
Look out GTP boys, the dog's on the prowl!
