Ok I've read the guide on top of the page, and I'm still a bit lost, I'm new to the game I played GT3 a bit here and there, but I decided I want to learn how to tune so I can play GT4 better.

So how do you go about tuning. I know each track has diffrent setting but what track do you use for a base so to speak so I know how the car will turn. I mean how do you fig out what need's to be done and once you know how do you know how many clicks to go, I mean I'm new to this, I tried to tune my lotus, but had little effect.

I don't even know how to word this post so that it make you understand what I'm trying to ask, but I'd like to get the Ford GT, and please don't tell me not to get it cause it suck or something, I just need , help so that I can do it myself and not come here everytime I get a new car.

So I hope someone can either help or point me in the right direction.

Thank!
Mike

The most time-consuming (and true-to-life) way to find out the correct tuning for your car on a specific track is to take a few laps, note your best time, then make minor changes to the suspension and take a few more laps. Do this over and over until you can't get a quicker time. Once you think you have that fine-tuned, start with the transmission and adjust the power band. I would advise only making an adjustment to one thing at a time instead of multiple adjustments to multiple components because you wont know which adjustment improved the car and which made it worse.

Its a long process to correctly tune a car for a track. Something that I think most people playing the game will not want to do. Reading this forum all I see are people bragging about how far they've gotten with the game and how much money they have.

I am sure that there will be someone that puts together a site listing the proper tuning specs for all the tracks, but its going to take a while.

One thing at a time, makes since. So say I'm messing with the spring rate then just mess with the front/or the rear do a few laps, try to fix something else.
