Sorry for the wait ladies and gentlemen. Over the past week I was a little under the weather and in combination with PD changing its formats over the past several weeks and making the gold times a little more tedious for the non-SRF users I was a little unsure if I had the energy to continue with the stock seasonals. Fortunately I noticed a few players saying and demonstrating that they could achieve the gold times (such as @nowcontrol with the RX-7 Spirit R Type A '02 and @Morphisor with the 205 Turbo 16 '85) and one person messaged me hoping that the SSTT threads would continue: thanks @TangoR34 for giving me a jump start. So let’s get on with it.

This is a thread series for the seasonal time trials that focuses on completing the challenges (i.e. beating the gold target times) with stock versions of the cars. This means that instead of maximizing your PP with upgrades and focusing on getting the fastest laps on the in-game leaderboard, you are attempting to complete the challenges with the bare minimum amount of 'car' and money-spent as is possible. Since SSTT#8 some of the gold time have become increasingly challenging to reach with this approach, and some have been shown to be impossible. These may require much more time and practice for some people. PD’s new format has started to include some TTs that require SRF to be on and others where it is turned off. Originally the courtesy car TTs which allowed SRF to be on or off had much more flexible gold times for the non-SRF users, and so were not included here, but now that gold is much more of a challenge I think these courtesy car TTs should be included here (provided the option to turn off SRF exists).

Warning: Some of these challenges are getting to be extreme and should be approached with caution! :banghead:

This thread is for people to post their lap times who have used the following limitations:

1) Car must be stock: no upgrades to cars are permitted (this includes upgrades that do not increase PP such as transmissions).
2) Fresh oil changes in order to temporarily increase HP and PP are not permitted. If you have done an oil change recently you should lower your car's power to the non-fresh-oil-change HP level or wait until the HP has returned to the OEM oil level.
3) You must use the original tires that the car came with.
4) No "Car Settings" like Brake Balance can be adjusted.
5) No SRF or ASM is allowed: other Driver Assists are permitted. [SRF is obviously permitted if PD has forced drivers to employ it.]

Stock Seasonal Time Trials #10:

Peugeot Non-Racing Car Super Lap: target 1:04.000
[Stock RCZ ‘10 = 407 PP - 197 HP - 1,350 KG - CS]

Mazda RX-7 (FD) Non-Racing Car Super Lap: target 1:34.000
[Stock RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) ’02 = 466 PP - 292 HP - 1,270 KG - SH]**

Tajima E-RUNNER Pikes Peak Special Super Lap: target 1:01.000
[Courtesy Car]

* The RCZ ’10 is the entrant with the second highest PP (by 1 PP), but it is 36,100 credits cheaper than the 205 Turbo 16 ‘85 and is a premium car. The 205 Turbo 16 '85 might be the easier option for some since it is 4WD rather than FF.

** The RX-7 Spirit ’02 is the entrant with the maximum PP.

My current with automatic transmission and a wheel:

RCZ ‘10 - 1:03.756
RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) ’02 - 1:33.822
E-RUNNER - 1:00.955

I have included my fastest lap GT6 data files below.

Edit: I managed an easy 1:02.335 with the 205 Turbo 16 '85, so I decided to try London in the Arcade Time Trial with SRF turned off and managed a 1:03.889 (which was much, much more fun). So I guess we could try using the Arcade Mode Time Trials as substitutes for the SRF Only STTs.

Welcome back and I hope you're feeling better. I decided to carry on without you anyway.

205 Turbo 16 '85 - 1:03.999 - That was enough for me.

RX-7 Spirit R - 1:33.987 - Great fun but moved on to a tuned version after getting gold. (Even more fun I'm afraid)

E-Runner - Still nearly a second off and getting increasingly frustrated. I set my best time within a few laps and it's all been downhill since then. I'm close to giving up on this one. Tell me not to resort to srf because I know I'll regret it if I do.

The Peugeot is definitely a walk in the park (1:02.197)

but if you are in for the challenge I think you can manage around or below 1:01.xxx without problem. OR like Hastatus say do it in ARCADE mode which is a brilliant idea and I am going to do just that.

RX7 is a very different beast (1:33.809)

Can definitely go below 33.5 if I didn't go wide.
This car is very easy to underdrive and overdrive at the same time. You will push wide at the 1st corner, the hairpin and the last series of chicane. Make sure you brake before you enter the tunnel and as you go uphill before you see the corner. Other than that you need to trailbrake at the right part to keep the car from sliding too much.

E-runner - Still over a second off and definitely need tips on how to tame an electric car :)

As usual, I gave these a go at stock on the first day......

205 Turbo 16 '85 = 1:02.501

RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) ’02 = 1:33.940

Tajima E-RUNNER Pikes Peak Special = 1:00.835

I will try the Peugeot @ London in Arcade Mode as you suggest for an SRF OFF time and get a video up of that at some point.

EDIT: better quality videos added.

This my take on the E-Runner which is impossible.

This is my attempt of the London Lap without SRF on. I have to say it took me some time to get 'gold'

But it is still doable, so why would they make a non-SRF gold time and then force it on? :S

After about a half hour of red laps I got a 1:01.788 in a stock 205 Turbo. This was my first time with SRF, and I have to say, I imagine it could be used as a tool to help beginners ease into understanding how to drive.

Sorry for the quality, I just recorded it with my phone.

Mazda 1.33:387 - ABS 1, rest off, Wheel, H-Shifter+Clutch
1st clean lap. That last corner was always tricking me. (68.1km)

Peugeot - Same settings
I used the RCZ for the seasonal - 1.03:579 (10.3km)

205 Arcade mode, no SRF, same settings - 1.03:566 (3rd lap)
It was fun.

The electric thing
First 100Km - 1.01:485
Any tips on the use (or not) of the handbrake?
Second 100Km - 1.01:207
with a S2 split of - 0:35x

259Km - 1.00:923

This was challenging. Nice Seasonal.
Advice: You should turn more than you normally would. (For Ds3, users maybe increase the sensitivity?). If you are comfortable with handbrake then it could gain you the last tenths.

I finally took my stock 205 Turbo 16 to London in Arcade Mode for an SRF=OFF time and managed to get a 1:03.024 after only a few laps.
