i was taking gran turismo 2 apart figuring out a way to be able to change/add new cars to gran turismo 2 and found a car that hasn't been posted on any other site that i know of including
http://www.formulanone.org/gt2/hybrids/all-parts.htm and
http://www.formulanone.org/gt2/hybrids/bodyonly.htm

so here it is in case you didn't know about it(nothing special)

775D
0B0C that's the car code

I'm pretty sure I've seen the trophy as a car somewhere, but based on another car (not the Mazda). Good work though, I havn't got a clue how to figure this type of modification to game codes or anything like that...

I'm pretty sure HYBRIDLVR (wherever he is) managed to find these silly "cars" a long time ago. There should be a huge thread about it a few pages back. I'm about to go to bed, tho. Otherwise, I'd try and find it. 💡

Not sure who HYBRIDLVR is, but the alternate bodies were found YEARS ago, shortly after the game's release.

If I remember correctly, there is a giant smiley face, trophy, Licenses, GT Logos...I think that's it, but there might be something else I forgot. I think Pupik's site has the codes for it.

I wonder what hidden material lies beyond GT5 Prologue... Must be a lot with all the testing new stuff that's been done.

Let I provde information about this car.

The car profile header write as "Mazda Roadster 1.6 Special Package".
Code is 775D 0B0C
By the fact, it is a trophy leaning to left.
The replay car name is "Delete"

Yeah, it's one of the hidden "body only" cars in GT2. I have it in my epsxe gamesave (got it from HYBRIDLVR a looooong time ago). It's hilarious watching it in the replays . Handles like a tanker though.

That's correct. The smiley is green, there's also a bigger trophy, the license logos (B,A,IC,IB,IA,S), and GT logos (bronze, silver, gold).

it's not crazy...it's wacky.

as someone ELSE that regularly took apart GT2, I've had a lot of fun with "hidden" cars.

other hidden things:
Polo 1.6
unpainted CLK-GTR (no race Livery, just bare silver)
Shelby GT500KR (yup, there's a King of the Road shelby, fully worked up, in there)
US edition has the Honda home versions of the Integras and NSX's from GT
AND...also has the VAUXHALL editions of the Opels! (i even managed to get the correct code to turn the Opel tuner into the VAUX tuner!)

I got all of those as well. The Polo is nothing special really, just a rebodied Lupo. The CLK is awesome, but you can't change any car settings or it will be undriveable (don't ask me why). GT500KR, is exactly the same as the normal shelby except the name . Hondas are always better than the Acuras (naturally), and the NSXs can get an RM! The Vauxhalls are exactly the same as their Opel counterparts.

There's also a 'soft-top' Elise if I remember. Exactly the same as normal Elise, but the roof is black, giving it a 'soft-top' look. Oh, and there's a Mugen S2000 as well. Same specs as normal S2K, but different rims. You can't RM it though (but you can tune it), or it will become a normal S2K.

(i even managed to get the correct code to turn the Opel tuner into the VAUX tuner!)

Wow, great work, you must be the first 👍.

A year ago I have even made a video about the GT2 hidden stuff. The stuff that drives.

vid

Nice video man 👍.

if Rogs34Uk was still around, i'd tell you people to pounce. he's got a full GT2 dissection sheet written up.

you didn't have better luck with the Polo, which, I believe, sports a bigger engine than the Lupos. i enjoyed rodding it again in 4. also, the differences between the Vaux and Opel versions I ran into is thus
1. seperate Paint Chips (including Race Model Livery)
2. definite grille design change
3. rim design change
4. exhaust note is audibly different.

this is one of the reasons I say get our automotice color pallette off of Britain

Maybe. It's been a long time since I played GT2. They still feel pretty similar though.

Hmm, I didn't pick up the grille, rim and exhaust note differences. Must've been braindead when I drove those cars . I'll check when I got time...

Legend: we all know Vauxes are badge engineered Opels, but i still think they look better.

Yeah, I know that. But I didn't pick up any differences in appearance between Vauxes and Opels in GT2. Not obvious ones anyway.
