Strange problem with my DFP and my PS3

Before I have always been able to play both PS2 and PS3 games with my DFP, but this week I decided to take a break from GRID and play TOCA3 for a bit. Like always when I quit the game of GRID the DFP calibrated after the PS3 home screen came up and I used its buttons to start the game of TOCA. Once the game started the power light to the wheel went out and it would no longer respond as long as a PS2 game was in the PS3. I then tried GT4...same thing. I tried reassingning the controller after using the bluetooth remote instead of a standard controller all to no avail. It just seems that the wheel will no longer respond to PS2 games in my PS3.

I am unable to check if it will work with PS2 games in a PS2 console as I no longer have a working PS2 console, however I would imagine it would. In fcat I had just played Enthusia last week so I do know it was playing PS2 games just a little over a week ago.

This ever happen to anyone else???

I would take the BT remote out of the equation. Only use the SIXAXIS and the DFP, it limits variables to troubleshoot. I have no problems using a wheel with PS2 games on the PS3. I have my wheel connected to USB #1 (furthest left or bottom if standing vertical). Try plugging in the wheel after the game launches. It's got to be something to do with the controller assignments?
