Strange server problem.

I have a very strange server problem, and i assume it is just me, but for about 2 weeks now, i have been getting an error message every time i start the game up, and it simply will not connect, no matter how many times i retry. I have turned my PS4 off, and it connects to everything else (PSN, Warthunder, i can even buy Driveclub DLC and everything) and it just wont come back on for me. I don't mind too much, as i don't have PS+ yet, but it is annoying, because when i am driving it always has this scrolling error message in the middle of the screen. anyone know a fix to this? Thanks!

This sometimes happens to me too. The server be down when I do time trials at Oliver's landing. I am a playstation plus member but have no idea how to get rid of this issue.

Ok, putting my IT support head back on here: What is the error message?

If it's that red text one, it's just their servers. If not, you may need to delete and re-download (assuming you have a digital copy) Anyway, it sounds like something might have become corrupted, one of the patches maybe.
