Strategy for "The Driver"

Finally! After much controller-bashing I managed to complete "The Driver" mission for the Malibu. Then after saving, I realized I didn't get the Bulletproof Sabre Turbo. :grumpy:

Anyway, I figured out a strategy that might make this mission a little easier.

The trick is to get a 2 star wanted level before strating the mission. On the countdown (3, 2, 1) a cop car will come flying around the corner and either hit you or Hiliary without fail - it always happens. If it hits Hiliary, that is bad. If the cop car hits you, it'll shoot you into first place straight away. Then it's just a matter of precision driving and cop car dodging. :)
 
oh man that's good, you can lso do a trick like this in one of the first missions called back alley brawl? it's the one from Rosenberg and you go and kill Leo teal and get his phone, anyway when you first see him in the alley u can go really fast and bail out of the car so when the cut-scene starts the car flies out of nowhere and runs him over...... it's just kinda funny :lol:
 
I used a similar strategy--I got a 4 star wanted level before I started the mission. The cops hit Hillary at the start but no matter-- he kept getting caught by the road blocks set for me. I never saw him after the first one. It took me over 4 minutes to finish the race--I used 3 different cars (they kept getting damaged by the cops) and I ran a good portion of the race.
