Street Fighters Series

The urban circus has just opened, feel free to join in the action, here is a list of bikes and tracks that are concidered for the series, any problems or opinions, are welcomed in hopes of bettering the series.

Bike/Track

1. BMW Motorrad K1200R RM / Seoul Central
2. Yamaha MT-01 RM / Citta di Aria
3. MV Agusta Brutale 910 RM / Hong Kong
4. Buell Firebolt XB12R RM / New York
5. Kawasaki Z1000 RM / Costa di Amalfi
6. Triumph Speed Triple RM / Tokyo Route 246

This series is just for fun, let's race the streets, we tend to forget about them too often with sportbikes in race tracks; no corners to cut, this is honest racing, clip a wall and you'll go down or be slowed. Feed back encouraged. Pre-season testing will begin officially at June 6th.

All rules except "wheelie glitch" will apply for this series.
Top 3 runners NEED at least a screen shot of their times.
Those who enter late will hate to start from the next round.
Tunning and soft tyres are allowed.

this aint going to be a eay serie for me as i haven't lapped 4 of the 6 tracks, we'll see what it give.
Luckaly i learn tracks very quick :D

looking good ronin 👍 may i suggest though, swapping the bikes in rounds 2 and 6? imo, the higher power output of the
Triumph would suit Tokyo, and i like the thought of trying to get that big MT-01 around the very tight Citta di Aria

this is honest racing, clip a wall and you'll go down or be slowed
is the rule for this to be very clear? any touch of a wall invalidates the lap?

I swapped the bikes; it's true the higher output triple will appreciate tokyo better than the M1...

And ANY wall touch will invalidate a lap, concider hitting a wall, even clipping one, with a real bike...

i'm looking forward to the round at hong Kong, the MV Agusta's where always my favourite bikes :)

to bat they are so 'slow' in this game

I'm looking foward to Tokyo, that's my favorite drifting track in GT4 and I'm always running it, so I wonder if all those hours learning every corner of the track payed off...

Just a suggestion Ronin, you might want everyone to turn failure conditions on if the wall touches are enough to invalidate a lap. The reason I say this is because even when you hit a wall or another bike for that matter, visually there is always a gap and therefor would be hard to contest...

Right im going to start practising now, need to keep up.

Seoul is a tricky track, if you're not spot on with braking and turn-in points then you are not going to make a fast lap.

The MT-01 round Citta di Aria is a real blast.

Practicing officially starts June 6th, to give you guys a break to learn the tracks etc.

Racing starts June 13th... so you got 1 full week to practice 6 tracks and 6 bikes...

Failure condition doesn't do much for clipping walls, I've touched them using FC and it still counts as a lap... it only punishes you when you fall off the bike... so no need for failure conditions...

I've been riding the Triple, the 910, the BMW and the MT... and all of them feel very fun bikes, I suspect I'm going to have more fun riding these bikes in street courses than using Sportbikes on race-tracks... there's something about that Triple that makes me feel like a kid opening a present at christmas...

Ive also been having a play and this is going to be a real fun series, maybe if its popular we could add another couple of rounds, then we could use either the Super Bol d'Or or the Super Four.

so the 13th of june is the start to bad i'll miss a race then, but it's only one so i'll be able to pick up at the yamaha round if everything goes to plan

Fair enough, but failure conditions also control wheelies, and also discounts your laps where you've gone off the track. And, depending on how hard you hit the wall depends on whether or not the failure conditions would discount the lap.

True, but no use, since you can't really provide any authentification that the failure condition is off... so why bother... Either way...

About making the series longer, it's up to you guys, I have no problem with it...

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you don't want wheelies, and you don't want wall rubbing, then you might as well require failure conditions. If you're going to use the reasoning that you can't prove whether or not you used them, then you might as well just not restrict wall rubbing and wheelies. Regardless of which, if you hit a wall, you're still going to be slowing down.

imo, we've got a bike game here, wheelies are a must  as for wall rubbing, well the rules say no, so it doesn't get done. we get videos
posted here, and replay.dats too. for those that don't have that equipment, there's screenshots of times. that doesn't show any proof
of non-wallrubbing of course, but for that, we have the best proof of all. our trust in each other that we all want to compete fairly :)

Wall-running is not such aconcern for me, since if youhit a wall, your going ot get slowed down...so people will TRY not to run into them without us posting a rule about it,but still,no wall-running...

...if you hit a wall, your going to get slowed down, so people will TRY not to run into them...
very true, yes :) and also, from my personal point of view, it'd look s**t on my replay :D

a good sensible rule to have in place though, so that it's crystal clear 👍

ps. how do you all like this? Suzuki B-King, a Hayabusa engine in a naked chassis

i like the bike itself but those exhausts are going to far if you ask me, they should shorten them a bit and also a bit smaller if you ask me

PS without those exhausts the tail looks a bit like the Moto GP bike of honda
and the lights look like a helmet

The B-King's engine is obviously a "street-tuned" Hayabusa engine, so don't expect Hayabusa performance from it, add that, the heavy load that engine might be on a Naked Bike... Suzuki seems to be trying to hard to make a street fighter...

The B-King is great looking, but... a Hayabusa engine? god... get over yourself... Hayabusas are some of the most over-rated bikes... It might have a 186 top speed, but it's just that... top speed... not good at corners, too heavy, i just despise them, and most Suzuki motorcycles...

id happyly take any suzuki sport bike. especially a gsxr750 ...

id say theyre far more than top speed. closer to brutal acceleration, awesome top speed, and probably reasonable tourer.

It's still gonna be a de-tuned version, so don't expect that kinda performance from it, and it will be very heavy to control...and it seems too high, look at other street fighters, they're short, and relatively light, the Triple weights about 162kg, and it's a big engine... Suzuki needs to get over itself...

I'll gladly take a Z1000 over a B-King any day... specially w/ the new look.

speaking of street fighters, last sunday a saw someone who turned a honda cbr 1000 in a streetfighter, it was so ugly i turned my back to it and i almost never do that with a bike :D

it's not about the bike, or torque, it's about me hating Suzuki's guts... so regardless of how much torque or power their B-King has, I rather stay true to my callin, Kawasaki. Much rather a ZX-10R than a GSX-R1000

P.S. I've seen R1s, ZX-12Rs and CBR street fighters around here, some are really ugly, others are really awesome. It all depends on the tuner.

Testing already started, Racing starts next week!Make sure to get all your settings ready so you can do more laps, rather than set up!

So the challenge will begin soon, given that you've had a full week to set-up your bikes, we'll get down to the racing.

Each stage will be posted each wednesday, at around 6-7 pm, eastern time; Stages will close at Sunday, 12 pm((During the day)) eastern time.

It's more than enough time, No Excuses. Same Scoring as last Series.
