With Gt5 now only 5 day's away, i'm in sort of a bind. I was gonna order My Fanatec yesterday, but after reading that some people have gotten them broken, and even the wrong wheel altogether.

I really don't know what to do. I like the GT3RS more than the G27. But with GT5 so close, i don't want to be waiting 2-3 week's for this wheel, tho i've read some people have gotten it within a week. But...being able to get a G27 from Amazon.com with next day shipping is very tempting. PLEASE HELP ME

Edit: Also, does Fanatec have a number you can call to place an order, or is the website good enough?

Only problem is, with amazon, the price sky rocketed back up to retail (i'm assuming cause of the imfamous release on wednsday). But I think you will be happy with either wheel. From what i have gathered, in the very short time i have been here, every company has its faults. Im sure either customer service will take care of you if something happens.

Good luck on the decision. I was in this same bind about a month ago. lol.:nervous:

You generally will only read about bad. Folk seem to make a post complaining easier than they make a post in praise. What about the hundreds, if not thousands, of happy Fanatec customers?

What i actually mean is, over the past few days this has been happening, people have just recently got there wheel and have either received it broken, or the wrong one. I highly doubt this happens frequently, and i'm sure Fanatec already know's about the issue. Basically im just trying to avoid this happening to me.

You're lucky you can get one within a week. For some reason it is available to US customers, but for any European country, it says on the order website out of stock, pre-orders will be delivered January 2011.

i'm one of the happy fanatec customers.
Happy with their custumer service, happy with the wheel.
It's a hard choice though with Gt5 so close.

*smartass* why haven't you ordered earlier *smartass off*

The CSP will be worth the wait ;)

Im a very happy Fanatec customer, almost immediate despatch, perfect working order, and great customer service, also I couldnt be happier with my wheel, really glad now that the store selling g27 had sold out that day. :)

I would order the Logitech DFGT to hold you over while you wait for your GT3RS if thats what you really want. Just buy thr DFGT locally in store and return before 30 day warranty if they have that policy. Who knows maybe you'll like it enough to keep as a spare wheel.

I too am a happy Fanatec customer even though my wheel did have an issue when I first got it. It took a few days to completely correct it but all is well. In my case there was a couple of fan issues, one touching a wire, one just overly loud. Both problems have been fixed.

I own both an Xbox and PS so I use the PWTS. If I had just the PS I would have went with the G27.

btw I bought the DFGT first and am keeping it as a spare :)

Yup, you may not get a tracking number, but you will get your wheel soon. I Ordered mine last friday afternoon and it arrived yestaerday afternoon. 7 days is worth the wait for this wheel. Dont feel bad about not having it first day of gt5, I have mine but my cockpit isnt done yet, and probably wont be until next weekend.

It won't hurt to not play GT5 on the release date. The time you will wait while the wheel is being shipped to you is well worth the wait. I also had the problem of not getting a tracking number but I did get it a week after I ordered the wheel. My GT3 RS wheel was well worth it and I never regretted purchasing it.

I have a fanatec turbo s, a gt3 v2 and a g27, the fanatec is way superior in my humble opinion,

If you do a search on G27 problems you will find some horror stories about g27`s loosing centering, you will find horror stories about fanatecs two, in fact do a search on problems for any consumer product and you will find horror stories.

I would get the fanatec

I will preface this by saying that I owned a G25 and recently purchased a G27. Love them both and Logitech has been nothing but helpful with all of my other Logitech products (never had a problem with either wheel).

However, anytime you are about to shell out between $250 and $300 for something, it is ALWAYS better to go with the one you prefer even if it means waiting a bit longer. The last thing you want is to go with the G27 and then wish you hadn't.

the gt3 rs and pwts are the same wheel other than

-wireless
-price
-different paddles (can buy those)
-alcantara vs leather
-xbox 360 support

Yep that and also they are a different color. If you own or plan to buy an Xbox360 the PWTS is a good choice otherwise the GT3RS would be the way to go.
